Come on referees, their is enough of you out there that read GAABoard, what are your views on how things work or not? And what are your feelings on how things are run and structured at present and what would you like to change that would be a benefit to all.

That's a great idea. Should be good for a few million out of HQ too.

I see no reason why they shouldnt., if its good enough for players etc. Why not include Umpires and Linesmen. Should Managers not have their own association, the GMA. Indeed the possibilities are endless, and the employment of staff to run these organisations, could make a severe dent in the unemployment figures and aid the National Recovery

im interested in starting up a  Gaelic Club Players Association(GCPA)
we should set up the GNRA(Gaelic  National Referees association)
The Gaelic Volunteer association(GVA),can represent all those who do the trojan work behind the scenes,in cutting grass, selling lotto tickets, making sandwiches, washing the jersies etc.
Where will it stop?

Jesus lads was expecting a little constructive responses, was thinking of becoming one myself now that the hurling career is nearly at an end... had heard how biased things can be when you climb the slippery pole, and its who you know, not what you know. Was looking for some genuine responses from some who do the job so to speak! The abuse has started before I even get going, must be a sign :o

Corcoran, Duffy,Conámha, all Laythrum ones, ......... not a Ros man among them.
Although the famous quote attributed to D**** C***** of Fuerty  does come to mind .
" The problem with a lot of these young refs these days is they dont care who wins the match"  :D
