Michael Meehan -New Galway captain

Not sure if this has been posted. Michael Meehan is to be the new Galway Captain. He won't play aginst New York but will be available in the next game.

Just want to congratulate him on this and wish him all the best in this year's championship.

Hopefully he can lead from the front!!

No other option really. He's really the one guaranteed started. Hanley maybe could be an option. But you'd have to go with Meehan. So did Kernan insist on changing the format where the county champions nominate the captain?
