May as well start this now.A 7/8 month thread. Up Down!

If the attitude is right, Donegal should have enough to see them through.

Not a great draw for Down as i don't think that we match up well against them, due to the fact they have to big full forwards who are great in the air, and its well known our full back line has not liked the high ball the last few years.

Still Wee James has a few months to work on how we will manage this

Prediction--there'll be at least 6 changes come the Donegal match from the team that started against Wicklow.

Wife has told me to find somewhere else to stay that week!  ;)

Think we might have a bit more then Down can handle, but if we did progress then really tough semi!

Same goes in the Donegal full back line as well.

Was talking to a Down man from Glenn this evening and he doesn't rate Wee James at all (really likes him though), I mentioned the young boys coming through and he reckons that they won't be given a chance.
I can't understand his pessimism as they have McIver and Tally in the backroom, not to bad at that.

As a Tyrone man I can say I am really looking forward to watchin this match for one reason.....Martin Clarke. I think he will be a superstar

I wonder how a Glenn man could form an opinion on McCartan's managerial nous - unless he played a bit of Sigerson football?

I was seriously impressed with what McCartan did at Burren. We beat them quite easily in a play-off in Shorty Treanor's last season, and at that stage they were really quite an aimless team with a number of players out of position.

McCartan came in and made them extremely difficult to beat, and made a Championship final with a team that worked extremely hard to make up for a lack of scoring forwards. Yeah they got taught a lesson in that final, but Mayobridge then were the best team in Down by as much as they wanted.
