This is probably a really stupid question but I got a phonecall off a dentist I need to arrange a consult with regarding getting my teeth out but when I asked him his name he said it really fast and I asked him to repeat it and still I didnt understand.. (and yes I was too dozy to ask him to spell it)..

Anyhoo, I got his phone number to ring him back to arrange the consult but I want to check him out first before I let him anywhere near my teeth (I am terrified of dentists and I dont wanna let just anyone yank the buggers out)...

So is there anyway I can trace the business/ person from just the landline number??

I'm assuming if he's a legit business, Googling his number will bring up his Dental Practice.

yeah its a legit business but I didnt hear his name. I couldn't understand his accent and didn't like to ask him to repeat it a third time (and yes I know I'm a pleb!!)

Ring up, I'd imagine a receptionist or something will answer, say you've got a missed call and ask what number is this from, then say you've no dealing with them and it must have been mistake.

Result.

Actually, if the dentist rang you... he's your dentist. Who's your dentist?

He's not my dentist I was referred to him by my dentist.. Can't understand why he rang himself though and not his secretary, then he seemed put out when I couldnt give him a day there and then when I was available for the consult which is why I wanted to check him out.

Like pints's thinking though.. Will get one of the lads in work to ring the number tomorrow.. Cheers guys  :)

omg I am so slow.. I read that as googling his name and then thought it was a breakthrough when I googled the number and got his name.. Thanks Ziggy I obviously read what ya wrote but it took awhile to register.. I blame the painkillers  ;)

so next question (I'll dye my hair blonde tomorrow)..

Has anyone ever gotten their wisdom teeth pulled by a Dr. M. Sharif Nayyar and if so would ya recommend him??

Had a missed call on my mobile yesterday and googled it, turns out someone from O'Neills was phoning me.

Haven't a clue what about.

On the other hand, my friend's ex's phone landed in her hands yesterday after being lost in a taxi and her number was still under "home".  Oh the fun we had with cyber-stalking yesterday.  I will not admit to the shameful things we did (nothing illegal, just investigative), but google is a fantastic tool.
