I think what the lads are referring to here is the Westmeath version. Basically it looks like someone dropped a fiver in a roomful of Cavan lads.

They all just mill around 'bumping' off each other with no ball in sight. It's fairly silly looking, and there's no intensity either. It's not like they are actually jostling each other hard. I've had bigger collisions bumping off someone coming back from communion.

Someone should have dropped a few fivers around the goals in Clones on Saturday.

this drill was used in a live match at Croker a few years ago as well, it may have been Laois or W'Meath but for the life of me I cant remember. I nearly fell off the seat laughing when they started it as I thought someone had taken a tackle in the warm up thick and started a brawl. I then discovered it was a real warm up and laughed even more.

This drill worked for us last year as it got the lads "heated" and ready for a bit of aggression. Aggression traditionally wouldn't be a strong part of our game and this drill helped us out big time last year as everyone participated. This year it's actually been counter productive, it's lost its novelty factor and you have the likes of Glennon and Flanagan jogging around the outside afraid to get stuck in. That does nothing for team morale, it's either all in or forget about it completely...
