Fr Rock's back from the flames

Cookstown Fr Rock's GFC are currently holding a pre- championship chat night to help refurbish the club after the recent fire. On Wednesday May 27th the Greenvale Hotel will play host to a pre-championship chat night. Hosted by Paddy Hunter of Q101fm a star studded panel will preview the Ulster championship clash between Armagh and Tyrone a few days later. Guests include Armagh pundit Jarlath Burns, Derry legend Joe Brolly, Tyrone legend Frank McGuigan and leading pundit Paddy Heaney. It promises to be quite a night. The evening begins at 9:30pm and patrons can pay at the door. Admission is £10.

should be a very good night, top notch guests. Think I might go.   :)

Have people not heard everything Heaney has to say at these gigs yet? No Benny Tierney?
"When it's too tough for them, it's just right for us"

i think Heaney is quite good
however Brolly and McGuigan should be excellent, and big Jarlath is always good for a laugh as well

Good luck to the Fr Rocks on this

well done to Fr Rocks
a brilliant night of craic. The guests were superb, Brolly and Frank were both in great form. Paddy Heaney was also superb and Jarlath had a few good one liners. The night went on way past midnight and you got the impression that them boys could talk about football all night. There were some great points made and a very interesting discussion took place about Pat Spillane and Martin McHugh. Well done to all involved at Cookstown, hope they made a few pounds to help get back on their feet after the attack.

Any funny stories that ye can recall.

Brolly can be very rough when he has an audience.
He gave his sister & Sean Og oHalpin a hard time at one event in Belfast I was at.

well he gave Pat Spillane a good slagging  ;D
he and Frank had an interesting debate about the GPA
he had some great stories about his playing days and he slagged a boy in the audience for chasing after his sister.
when asked how they got rid of him his reply was ' well he was lucky he was just on the right side of the ceasefire'
Heaney, Burns and Frank were also good value
