Ehat type of bird was it that got preyed on in that clip?

Just a hunch, but I'm guessing it was an osprey.

What happened to the cuckoo, better nest security?

Just back from Ireland and I saw this thread.  There is a buzzard which has staked its territory over the family and neighbouring farms.  I got it on film and photographed it too.  A neighbour told me she saw one killing a grey squirrel.  I didn't see a single sparrowhawk or kestrel this time.

There are loads of foxes around now in that part of Derry.  On Friday night I heard two within half a mile of each other.  Never had before.  However, I didn't see any evidence of badgers which used to be plentiful in the hills behind our home.

There are loads of Blue, Coal and great tits, greenfinches, chaffinches, goldfinches, bramblings, robins, blackbirds, thrushes and dunnocks.
To find his equal an Irishman is forced to talk to God!
