Children in Need this friday.  All premiership players and squad members  should donate 1 weeks wages.  How much would that generate

Porbably about 5 million I would imagine. Was this not tried with the nurses and failed miserably?

Must be me but I hate these annual events, 12 July, Remembrance Sunday, Children in Need and Xmas etc. And I'm not much fond of the All-Ireland recently.

I think this story perfectly illustrates how far detached some soccer players are from reality, I emphasise some as they all cannot be tarred with the same brush.

I agree with the sentiment of giving but not with giving 1 weeks wages. i don't think this is afeasible option in this economic climate, but i do agree that everyone should have to donate something, no matter how small
