Bit of balls shown on the home straight
Would say our best result since 2021 final?

Definitely the best result since 2021 and it feels like it means something. I think the team could need time to develop, but it's always better to go for things now and I don't see any reason why not?

Having won without Kennedy and Hampsey was impressive with Meyler also to come back (you'd assume it would be a lot to expect much this year, but he is so driven so who knows) and Canavan yet to hit form, there is hope.

Silly stuff like this i suppose
I remember that comment. Beyond crass. Sitting waiting for Malachy to lose for opportunity to have another snide go at him...

Not the nicest. Malachy seems a decent man. He's only in the door. I don't understand why people would follow sport if they don't want excitement and just want to find absolute misery in everything.

Is the black card for 3rd man check got rid of?

Quote from: NotedObserver on May 25, 2025, 01:00:49 AMWas there a man of the match given out?

Said during the game if Donegal win he'll be a shoe in for it. Probably still deserves it even if he was on the losing side.

ONeill

Big balls shown last 10.

In recent years, when Tyrone have needed to show in the last 10 mins of games in the white heat, Petey Harte is often the catalyst. He'll be a big loss when he hangs them up.

Teague excellent when he came on. McGeary finding more gears. McCurry carried the forward division. Canavan well marked, as his da was v McKeever and others, and it's a good sign they still found 19 scores.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

omagh_gael

Tbf to Darragh the past 2 games have been against the two teams who flood the defence the most. Plus he's been marked by the best in the business. He'll get much more room and less heat v Cavan and Mayo.

Surely Teague has to start next day out. Competition in the defence getting tight now, good sign.

Grace Murphy

Can't wait to see Darragh play when he like his marker.

Long live Petey Harte

Quote from: Scoring Zone on May 24, 2025, 11:22:58 PMGot the sense from the warm up and post -game reaction Tyrone was completely all in (pickup and loss and summer over) and got a massive win that gives O'Rourke some momentum now, got brilliant bounce from the bench and given Kennedy, Hampsey and Canavan where quiet/got knocks, it was nice to finally nip them in that kip in a game that was meaningful

Kennedy got some rattle
Done well to get up and play on
McCurry putting in a big year
Hard to see now how Gallen was an all star last year

Quiet is some statement..

I find that he goes under the radar as unlike his counterpart doesn't swing for posts enough although well capable.

And as for getting up and going on at 6ft 6/7 you don't get much help from referees so I think he's well used to pulling the socks up and getting on with it.

Will see how much we miss him if he's unable to play this saturday night.

Goals_Will_Come

Does Malachy call up some of the Under 20s now and get them into the fold early for experience for next year. Ben Hughes, Joey Clarke, Caolan Donnelly, Callum Daly, Conor O'Neill, Matthew Quinn, Ruairi McCullagh all look primed to have a role in the Senior team in time.

Onthe40

Firstly congrats Tyrone
Some record at this level

im not so sure as many as that will move up
for me its Mcelholm, McCullagh, Clarke, maybe Donnelly at this stage
Mcelholm prob the only to make an immediate impact (as he has done)
think the others might be better served with big club seasons esp as some are underage next year

interestingly was looking back at the 2022 winning team
only Daly ODonnell Canavan & Devlin have really came through

If MOR decides to call some of the 20's up then the ACL will have to be delayed again as this will upset the current 'starred game' status.

I agree with above poster - let them all play a big club season and we see where they are all at after that

As I said, a few weeks back - there is a serious difference between county U20 and county senior level in terms of physicality and conditioning

WeeDonns

No stand tickets available on Ticketmaster for the Mayo game - were they available online and sold out or did they go out via the clubs?

Calling lads up for training sessions hardly warrants ACL rejig

Same team that started against Donegal except for Teague starts in place of Hampsey. Hampsey on the bench.
