Would love the gas if they are going to call games off to have the foresight to make an early announcement .
I have heard the game is off tomorrow. But obviously there is nothing official about it yet.

I would assume that any postponements will be made based on any damage to infrastructure rather than the actual weather as the storm will be gone by the time the matches are being played.

Captain Scarlet

It wasn't bad around me in Dublin, but after the red warning the wind seemed to take off.

It was serious in fairness. Hope all are well here.

Took the dogs out for a walk along the coast where I am, few trees down on the roads and fences blown down, lots of debris, and I'd say there will be some trees that are on the brink of falling, so still dicey enough I'd say. A tree in a street at the bottom of my road has went clean through a house, splitting it, scary.

But winds seem to be a lot better and think the worst of it has past, hopefully. I've lost the door of the summer house and that's been about it, though, a good fart would have blown it out

She's gonna have me mending all weekend. There goes trip to Derry.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

While I have every sympathy for Mr Prenty and Connacht GAA, who were most proud of the Dome, it was built in a very windswept area without any shelter. If these type of weather events are going to be a frequent occurrence, as those who respect climate change wisely warn us, if's it built again (as they promise), it will end up in a heap of shite a second time. A debate should be had if this is the best use of money by Connacht GAA. There's no need to do a Cúchulainn or Bull McCabe on it and act defiant against the elements. The weather will always win.

After this the dome will be uninsurable.

We had no electricity today. Loads of trees and broken walls. Internet came back around 5 buíochas le Dia. No sign of when normality will return.

The irony is it was a good idea to get playing football inside, out of the wind and rain.

Electric just bck on, there about 30 house in the estate have lost roof tiles. Mostly ridge. Foreby trees down everwhere. Including one who's just missed my house. That's about the worst weather I remember from late 1980's.
