Preseason Cups - starts Saturday 15th March

Division 1 & Division 2 will be combined - 8 groups of 4 teams (2 Div 1 & 2 Div 2 per group)

Top 8 will play in quarter-finals for Jim Devlin Cup, bottom 8 will play in quarter-finals for Frank O'Neill Cup

Division 3 combined - 2 groups of 4 and 2 groups of 5 (TBC)
Top 4 will play in semi-finals for McGarrity Cup

Fixtures will run week-on-week from 15th March, excluding Easter Weekend.
Finals are scheduled for 26th/27th April.

All County League - starts weekend 9/11th May

No July break being set down by the CCC in 2025.

The no break has its pros and cons. Means lads can't plan a break but should also cut down the 2 games in 3 days nonsense.

Pre season comps will be important this year with the impact of new rules. Did the confirm the 3a and 3b structure?
That's all went out regarding adult football. To give credit where due - I think it's well thought out and the pre-league stuff very good

So the start date for ACL is 9 May - let's assume the 5 starred games are played in consecutive weeks up until 13 June. What happens then?

There are still 7 weeks left until the AI final and surely Tyrone hope to still be playing in late June minimum - so it looks like a possible scenario whereby we play 5 games, wait 4/5/6 weeks then possibly play another 10 games in 5 weeks like the 2024 season (if Tyrone get to AI semi or final)

I do like the pre season format so fair play for that - good idea.

I don't envy the men at CCC level trying to sort this out but at first glance this just appears to be the same league structure as 2024 but without a holiday period (which covers 2 weekends) so it still a packed schedule for the section of the season with county men involved.

If the U20's do well then the start date will maybe be delayed.....

Looking forward to it anyhow - ye can't beat the club football.

No mention of when games will be played. Is it still going to be Friday Night Games?

NO set Holiday period also isnt going to work, men will already have things booked for July Break

Yes new rules across the board. Might be some tinkering around the kickout rule at Under 14 boys and in Ladies football but no word yet what this will be.

Don't think new rules are coming in for ladies are they?

The start date is 9/11th so sounds like some games will be on Sundays. Maybe swapping between each division each week?

I know it was mentioned cause of lack of referees

I take it the 3A and 3B plan has been abandoned?

ClubScene13

If teams are not willing to budge on the 5 starred games (I agree with this btw) then there has to be some give in terms of the July break. Long term we may have to look at upping starred games to possibly 7/8.

If we assume that the bare minimum for Tyrone in any given season is the prelim quarter finals / last 12 (just don't come bottom in the group stages) then continuing with 5 starred games is going to be difficult. The prelim quarters this year are down for 21st June/22nd June and tbh that would be a poor season for Tyrone. The All Ireland semi final's are 12th July/13th July - if that happened then we're stalled even longer.

We probably need to look at having ACL games the same weekend as a Tyrone game in this scenario.

Also, I see they have 18 teams down for the junior pre-season competition, is there a new thirds team along with Errigal and Donaghmore this year? Nearly sure it was 17 teams last year

The mention of Division 3 combined would indicate that it is 3A and 3B as was planned.

So Cookstown 1sts and 3rds in the same division, albeit 3A and 3B

Best of luck to Errigal tomorrow.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.
