Any truth to the rumor that the national ploughing championship will now be in Pairc hi Caoimh this year????
I used to be indecisive but now I'm not too sure.

I wonder does this mean Connacht Rugby might look again at Pearse Stadium.
Crazy really how long these stadiums stay empty for through the year.

I doubt it. They surveyed all the season ticket holders and I believe the vast majority wanted to stay in the city centre. Hard to blame them. It's a great location. Also no lights in Pearse and the residents have opposed installing lights there before.

Might be a different matter if they struggle to raise the finances to redevelop the Sportsground though.
