Ya reckon? Although it was a small ball game championship match, I can well remember officiating at Shaw's Road & hearing an "everybody in" instruction being issued by an ex-county player.

I've played there for 17 years, and officiated too, and never have i heard a Rossa player shout that out in either code

On this day 30 years ago Washington Down by The 4 Of Us entered the Irish singles chart at #19.

Damian Cassidy. Rumours of course.

awwh, i thought yous were on about the other rumour.
Although it would be interesting for cassidy to make a return

Will not be happening....

Are you sure? Would love him back.

Damian Cassidy. Rumours of course.
Another handy pay packet for him

We were in 3 county finals winning two, won an Ulster U21 and also won two league titles when he was here. That's results. Went to Cargin and has won two county titles. Took his own club to the Ulster minor title last xmas. There aren't many, but there are a few who are worth it. Great times for us and he was a big part of it.

Our un8 girls manager would win an Antrim championship with Cargin

you really are full of shit

Michael Fitzsimons seems to be a bit of a p***k

What that about?

He's probably taken offence at MF having a pop at Joanne Cantwell's statement a while back about the Dublin players being institutionalised

That looks wide to me from that twitter footage.

Eamon McGee - at his age and experience, WTF is he doing getting the line in a county final before the second half even starts?? ;D

any links to the scuffle?

Some bit of refereeing in Derry....

Do explain

Ref blew for full time just as the lad kicked the equalising point. Didn't count.
Not quite correct. He blew as the other lad passed the ball. The magherafelt players started to celebrate as the guy kicked the point. Had he not blown there would have been defenders on the fit and he may not have kicked the point. None of that makes the ref blowing when he did right tho

Why was it not right?

So more than likely we will have Tyrone/Donegal will a minimum 4 week break between when they are out out of the Ulster championship and play there first round qualifier game.

Itís farcical that this has been allowed to be pushed through.
There is absolutely no detail in it.
I am assuming from whatís been outlined that is possible for a Div 3/ Div 4 team to win this competition and then win it again the next year ( assuming they have not be promoted to division 2 and get knocked out before their provincial final).
At least with the hurling structure( Joe McDonagh winners) they are given the chance to compete in the all Ireland hurling championship in the same season.

Thee is no detail in this proposal.  Nothing at all.
Just dump the division 3 and 4 teams from the senior championship and let them play among themselves.
There are no incentives to win this competition.  What has been talked about is All Stars, Tv coverage and semi finals and finals before the all Ireland semi finals and finals.
Again no detail has been given but sure John Horan got a text from RT….
Imagine if the main competition was changed like this.
It shows exactly what direction the Gaa is heading in.
We are losing what was great about our organisation in a rush to create marquee games at the end of the summer.  Nothing is being done to develop these weaker footballing counties.
The minute your tier teams off you are increasing the gap between the halves and the have nots.
The league was tiered and it has helped the stronger and better organised counties

Just look at what has happened Offaly and Antrim in the hurling? Show me all the new teams that have suddenly appeared in hurling at the top table since they tiered it ?
Yes teams now win competitions but they end up getting relegated the next year from the competition above. How is that helping developing hurling ?

Itís just typical Gaa.  No though. No plan. More greed.

If true, someone has died, respect this irrespective of the life they have lead or their views

Yes lets remember him for the person he was. The person who accused a Primary School of being an IRA training camp because it flew the Italian Flag. A person who turned up at a court appearance dressed the banned Muslim cleric Abu Hamza. The person who oversaw "victims groups" which had some financial irregularities.
Please share your memories as well.

Lets remember him as the man who had a hand in over 70 murders in Northern Ireland. Along with other resistance figures such as Noel Little, Father of South Belfast MP Emma Little Pengelly.

A dirty rotten ****. Hell would be too good for him.

on another note - has Ms Pengelly every been asked any questions about here da's background activities?

Martin O'M has referred to it very directly in any panel debates he's been on with her in the past couple of years.

I suppose that's something, but I meant since the show went out
