Thankfully thats over, hard to believe a team that went from taking 32 points from the first 36 that was available to Ole to taking 8 points from the remaining 27 points. Herrera leaving on a free another sign of how poorly the club has been run, United left themselves wide open by leaving it so late to negotiate with him; He was clearly going to have plenty of interest in him.

Huge summer ahead, United simply have to buy well.

Summed up well and all eyes on what happens this summer now. TBH I'll be shocked if buying well is done with Ed Woodward still mainly in control of the transfers.

Not saying United will reach City's level in the next season or two but i might add in 2016 Man City also finished their season on 66 points.

Fair point but City had a plan and the right people in place to be able to do that . . . It doesn't feel like United are in that place at the minute!

Brighton have sacked Chris Hughton . . . I hope they suffer the same fate as Ipswich after they sacked McCarthy!!

I thought the real difference showed after we went a point up. A booming kickout from Morgan and 2 of our lads went for the ball while Donnelly flicked it on the unmarked Burns who popped to McCurry for the goal!

Those are the kind of decisions which make or break a team at the top level and it broke us today. Plenty to take heart from we need a reasonable draw in the back door and we could do well!

Will Salah, Firmino, Mane all stay? Or could Madrid come calling?

They can call All they want. Why would anyone leave Liverpool for Madrid at the moment?!?

Weather and Money to name 2 reasons off the top of my head!

I'm no Leinster fan but a few points OB.

- Leinster arguably missing 3 starters in Leavy, Van Der Flier and you could say Carbery. That would have made a fair difference.

- Leinster reached the European final playing in 3rd gear all season.

- Saracens brought a fair few of those lads through the academy - Farrell, George, Kruis, Itoje to name a few. 2 Vunipolas joined as young lads.

I donít think you can say Carbery to be fair!

What were the thoughts on Garces? I didnít get to give the game my full attention but he seemed to still be very slack on the offside/coming in from the side/supporting your body weight particularly in Sarries favour?

Did any of you more knowledgeable rugby heads think this??

Seems to be an odd Guardian article some click bait and a trending hashtag on twitter is enough to incite public disquiet these days!!

Poor from Luke McGrath just before HT..10-3 up and clock in the red he should have put it off the park.  Goes for a box kick..pen conceded..Farrell kicks to corner and Sarries work a try and Farrell converts to go in level at HT..could be a costly error

100%. Such an average player. Wouldn't have him near the RWC squad.

Serious mistake there was absolutely no need for it!!

I think that game will cost him his place! Youíd imagine Cooney and Marmion will be there!

You been buying titles for years. You were nearly always in the top 3 buying players the years you won the league going bck to the start of the 90's. So don't kid yourself you's are any better than city.

In fairness Manchester United earned the money they spent on players and recently they have paid over the odds on players and wages because clubs and player agents fooled a clueless chief Executive. Manchester City won the lotto with the prize money of a trillion.

It's a fair point to be honest - what odds how you got the money? Professional Sport or Football isn't a game of morals - United had it relatively easy in the 90s too with their financial power.

Its not a fair point when you consider Manchester United became the dominant force in England from the brilliance of Ferguson who had to build the club from the bottom up and a chairman having the patience to keep him on in the late 80s.

Where would Manchester City be without their trillionaire owners? certainly no Pep Guardiola.  As for history, 20 years ago when Manchester United was winning the treble their neighbours in the old main road stadium were battling it out with the likes of Colchester United,Chesterfield and Gillingham in England's 3rd tier division.

History is nonsense. . . Liverpool have loads of history which has counted for nought during the Premier League era.

City fans will be able to look back in 20 years time and laugh about how they were able to persuade the best coach in the world to win loads of titles with them while United jumped from Ferguson to mediocrity . . . Mourinho's second place last year looks like a minor miracle!!

History is over rated give me the present any time!!

Totally agree having a shit ton of money means nothing if you don't have the right people in place to make it translate on the pitch. United can crow all they want about earning the money themselves but they have just as much money as City as evidenced by the Sanchez deal and they are where they are and City are where they are.

"Oh but City have no history" Yeah they were founded 2 years after Man United 140 years ago so that's bullshit as well. They're creating history now!!

Talking of Peter what was your best memory of PTG. Even as a non Tyrone fan.
I'm sure for the Armagh lads it's him being sent off in the 2005 Ulster final.

For me it's when he was near his peak around 1996 I think. Some of the times he took on and beat for or five players. One particular point he scored v Derry in Clones into the town end goal when nobody could catch him.

Sending off in the All Ireland Quarter final 2001!!

Maradona and Ronaldo 'went missing' in as many games as Messi has.  Just shows that Messi, the greatest of all time, has set such a high bar that people expect him to deliver 10 out of 10 every night.

He doesn't perform when needed most. Not the greatest.

Jesus!!!! So he's written off after one game?? Ronaldo's team didn't even make the Semi finals . . . wise up!!
