Perhaps Loughery is one of the few antrim footballers to do what is necessary is get the physique of a modern intercounty player.   All these spoofers and apologists on here denying whats right in front of them - there is NO excuse why antrim's footballers do not have the physique of a div 1 footballer. None whatsoever. Anyone saying different is someone used to taking the easy road through life.  Its feckin hard and takes sacrifices - thats why antrim arent at it.   Antrim dont appear (happy to be proved wrong) to have the talent / ability of a div 1 team but they should at least have the physicality.  Fecks sake there is enough information available to do it.

Antrim's problem appears to be attitude, exacerbated by pisspoor  managers and 'quick fix' supporters and county admins.

Loughrey was a freak athlete by our standards prior to he even doing the weights and bulking up. His commitment was 2nd to none prior to be going to Cork to get married. He was our best player bar none...breaking the gain line, punching holes in the opposition backline and laying off to the scorers. Massive loss

We could do with a top manager to get the buy in from all players. Clare have got to Div 2. They stayed there for a year and have improved. If they can we can..we have to aim high and stop being negative. We got there 10 yrs ago, beat Meath but went down.
In our biggest games in the qualifiers around then we had our captain etc not play due to pre booked holidays. That didnt help us kicking on
We need serious buy in if we are to have any chance. We can do it

Actually, Lisbon is lovely

Had conversation with someone the other day about Lisbon, was interested in going and he said it was worse than Barcelona for pickpockets!
We have been in Lisbon twice over the last few years and never  had any issues ourselves but have heard  of some of the popular tourist trams being rife with pickpockets

I suppose they are on all the big cites!

You need to organise yourself on the presumption that pickpockets are about, especially in summer. In winter it is easier when wearing a jacket.

If youre on the packed tram without your wallet in your front pocket and your hand in it you deserve to be pickpocket!

I found no issue there...class city

Get the yellow tram round the city at 8am...avoid the queues

What i would say is...go to Bruges. Done every european city nearly....for a relaxing chilled time its the best

If you are looking for a quick get away with or without the kids, I would recommend Bluebell Lane

Bruges sounds like what you're looking for

Budapest class too.

I’d ordinarily agree and maybe a lot was down to the referee but I think Morgan only conceded one free yesterday and seemed a lot more disciplined o hope it’s a sign of things to come as I think he’s an excellent defender.
The free he gave away for Down's penultimate point in normal time was criminal at a critical stage of the match and it's typical of the frees he gives away.  The Down player was heading straight for the sideline.....just stand him up!!!  That said, the referee missed a mark from Jarlath Og Burns in the run up to that.

At least 2 marks he missed!

If Armagh’s GK no 2 got injured last week, I don’t see the issue with an outfielder as sub GK. the odds are that the sub GK is rarely needed.

Having said that, Down sub GK looked in trouble. If he had to go off, would Down have been criticised for not having a no 3 GK?

Don't Cluxton and Niall Morgan play outfield for their clubs

Down sub keeper was nervous and ropey AF ...hoofing every kickout straight up in the air old school style....made for a better spectacle!!

Anytime i played id have wanted to face a wee goalkeeper. In my team i wanted a huge keeper, Paul Hearty style. Armagh keeper looks like a minor. Totally see the justification in putting a big man in there, whether he plays out the field for his club or not

Armagh  shouldve pushed up when Mooney sent off...not deploy a 2nd, do nothing, sweeper. Down just brought the ball in and then kicked it over the sweeper/s. How Down (and Armagh) didnt kick more long balls in i'll never know. 1st 2 long balls for Down resulted in Harrison point and Havern goal....then they just stopped. Madness

I'm kinda surprised at the opinion that James Morgan did well when he came on.
I thought he gave away some really stupid frees. Seems to be a bit of a liability to be honest

Some good, some bad

Kicked a score but kicked a fair amount of ball away

It was an unreal play but on some respects it was a free go. Game was not lost as it was going to overtime so it was a good percentage shot. Execution was great though and as has been said the high arc to get it in was essential. The reality is that given the closeness of many of these teams at this level this type of ‘clutch’ play is regular. Small margins and Leonard has been outstanding all the way this season.

Was class but a free go as you said....v different than a must make bucket when youre 2 down. Still. Class

Gutted as i like the 76ers

I thought it might be in Windsor Park.

Its a supposed home game for us....Corrigan?

Will we score from play?
Will you care when we win?

Absolutely

Booking a Xmas break with the Mrs, unfortunately she can’t do long haul flights. Have done Prague, Edinburgh which were very good at Xmas and also Dublin, Galway etc which are great but it is as cheap to head away somewhere. I was thinking of Bath in England, not a big fan of English food but am told Bath is a lovely place to go. Has any of you been there and would you recommend it?

Copenhagan at Christmas. Tivoli Gardens Winter Wonderland is awesome

Short flight from Dublin.
