I understand that not everyone knows details of our little island, but these guys think Ireland is a city...

except its RTE FFS!!!

Proof that RTE read these hallowed pages...main article heading now changed  to "...most expensive country..."

Officially he’s still on the RTE panel isn’t he. The twitter indignation/commentary should make them realize not to get rid of their ‘diamond’.

It’s overshadowed the replay build-up which shows his worth.

Read somewhere that Brolly is one of several long to medium term pundits whose contract expires this year.

Just a misunderstanding is all.

What Jim actually said was to "put the small lad at wing-back".

Expect John Small at 7.

'Ignore' is a great thing on this. But ffs please quit quoting him.

How do you use it or more importantly where is the magic button...

1.  Click on "Profile" at the top of the page (three to the right of "Home")...this opens a window with your profile details.

2. Hover over "Modify Profile" and you will see a drop-down list, the bottom one being "Buddies/Ignore List... "  Hover over that and drop-down list will appear with two items...click on "Edit Ignore List"

3. Under the heading "Add to Ignore List" you will see a box to type a member's name in.  Start typing...notice it helps you along with everything available from every character you enter appearing as a drop down.  For example, if you type in "kerry" , the 4th name on the list is Kerry Mike, Long live Kerry Mike....but if you add the letter "f" to your typing, the list will be shortened to the following members:  "kerryforsam", "KerryforSam-2019", kerryforsam16" and ""kerryforsam19".

4. Select whoever you wish to ignore and hit the "add" button.  That poster will the appear in your ignore list.

5. Clicking the red X on the right hand side of a poster's name on the "Edit Ignore List" will remove that poster from your Ignore List.

That's my non-technical summary of it anyway.  Feel free to correct me if needed.

The comments on Walters were in very poor taste but what was even worse was the audience lapping it all up. Keane still acts like he is the hard kid down the back of the school bus who calls the shots.

Any links to that?

Serious competition among the forwards.

Tyrone full forward loses out, but the full back gets in as a semi-final team must get one All Star?
McShane deserves one for sure.

No doubt McShane deserves one...but it is a crowded field of forwards all the same.

General discussion / Re: Brexit.
« on: September 04, 2019, 10:42:28 PM »
If we, the world, can learn one thing from Brexit is that 52% of the vote is not actually enough to force through a constitutional change.

So what should have happened?  Negotiate the deal first, then put the deal on the referendum with a simple choice...a) take the deal b) reject the deal means stay in EU?  Sounds somewhat reasonable.

Maybe the EU should change their rules to this for any potential exiteers...of course the EU might never agree to a deal to allow a nation to vote on, so the whole mess could take years.

Porsche called it a Taycan?  Really?  Irish guy on staff having a bit of fun?

I see it runs $150,900 for the basic taycan, with the turbo S model at $185,000.

Some taycan for that money.

They’re Taycan the piss.

Thought this electric technology would defeat the extraction process?  I'm not up to watt is all about, shockingly.

What was Charlie Nelligan and Paidi sent off for in 78 and 79?

A schemozzle in the Kerry square - Charlie in his bright gold geansai stuck out like a sore thumb in the middle of it all.

Paidi jumped up on David Hickey's back, piggyback style.  Probably one of the gentler ways he could have chosen to bring him down, but Hugh Duggan didn't agree.
