GAA Discussion / Re: Football qualifier route 2019

It’s unusual not to have Cavan involved in a Saturday qualifier.

Think it will be a tight game but we should just come out on top.
I really hope we dont revert to type and go defensive. Need to continue with the positive tactics and keep men up top.

Bookies have Donegal at 7/4 which is v surprising - would have them shorter than that

Donegal the value bet alright.

Mc Geeney in nosebleed territory as a a manager

You haven’t followed his managerial career have you

McGeeney is one of the highest-rated managers in Ireland, so he will have an adequate plan for today’s semi.

Might as well have Esther Rantzen running than Esther McVey.

You'd imagine football be first with two crackers.

Be interesting to see what opens the show. RTE could make their hurling bias more overt & official and thus show the Salthill match first

Someone needs to tell the pundits they are there to analyse the games not pontificate.
Division 1 v division 4.
Sligo did quite well

Is Sean Cav going to claim that Antrim, Derry and Cavan have always put up stern resistance in Ulster?

That'd be a different Cavan to the runaway leaders of the Ulster Championship Roll of Honour then!!

Going by Saturday, it looks a very special Cavan outfit this year.

Thought McGeeney came up trumps when it mattered. Key decisions were made under pressure on the line. A highly-rated manager, not just at Ulster-level, but at national level.

Good chance of a gold medal too. Ireland have had one gold this millennium, Katie in 2012

The Super Cup in August in Istanbul is another big trek for the English teams.
But listen, cities bid well in advance to host these matches and they are prestigious things to be awarded. Dublin had two Portuguese teams for the 2011 Europa League final.

Flight time London to Baku for Europa League Final 5hrs 30mins.

Saw on Twitter there’s a strong correlation between World Cup Golden Boot winners and their club team winning a trophy the next season. Lucky stat for Harry Kane & Tottenham.
