He would be mad not to go if Arsenal or some other top club went for him.

True, ironic that Scotland has 2 fantastic left backs - probably the best 2 about, in Tierney and Robertson of Liverpool.

Do they though? One is a good left back in Scottish football and the other is genuinely world class.

As suggested previoulsy £30m for Tierney is ridiculous! I'd say £20m would be decent money for him. Also a record for Scotland!

What makes anybody think we can afford OíRourke??

By all accounts he was in for the job along with McErlain and there was a clear reason why he didnít get the job then... by all accounts the financial situation is worse now so what happens??

1 day before Championship game and zero craic on here.

Is that possibly the strongest derry team forward line named in last 7/8 years

Definitely as strong as the front 6 2 weeks ago!

Agreed though, it is a serious forward unit. I've a family do and it's 50/50 (well probably 30/70) that I get to the game. Won't be much in it. Laois back to back promotions.

Are they though?? Couldnít get to the game but sounds like we werenít great!!

Radio Ulster were talking about the fact the Laois black card meant they couldnít bring any more subs on yet they brought on another player and scored a goal straight away... can anyone confirm it?

Boris's Brexit plan is just to remove backstop from Withdrawal Agreement. No more and no less.

Will the EU budge in October to get a deal done?

I think he will go for a NI only backstop. The EU would be happy with this also. The DUP obviously won't but they will be under the bus at that stage.

How does he get his deal with a NI only backstop through parliament?

I think they get cross party support for it and screw the DUP!

Need to book something for my wife's 40th next January preferably a citybreak around that time. It's not usually a time of year we'd head away has anyone any ideas of what to do??

Was thinking New York maybe but I'm thinking January wouldn't be the best time. All recommendations welcome.

PS. Not winter sun would rather be doing something.

GAA Discussion / Re: GAA pitches in Craigavon - a gale in a pale?

We have a council pitch in Ballinascreen we'd use from time to time if badly stuck. We field teams in all codes and age groups male and female so don't really have enough room to accommodate everything.

Our Minors used it last week for a friendly match starting at half 7... the lad from the council landed at 7.45 and the pitch wasn't even lined out!

After reading that I'd be more adamant that parents should know everything their kids are looking at online. We have installed a programme on my boys phones to look a the apps they are using and can put parental control on.

That poor girl has suffered her whole life at the hands of bullies. What sort of society are we living in?!

I have to say the guards can get a hard time in the press (and rightfully so when required) but they seem to have put together a really good case here and well covered by the IT article.

You really have to the amount of stuff they can access is ridiculous and they'd be running rings round most parents who don't pay attention I'd imagine... still can't get over the horror of it all.

Both Guilty!

I had thought maybe Boy B might get off with it but sounds like the right verdict was reached to be fair.

What happened to these 2 lads that they could do such a thing??

It's a pity about Stewart he's maybe 5/10 years before his time. . . I imagine his appeal to younger Tories would be huge but that's not the demographic of the membership unfortunately!

Woodland so steady all weekend, fully deserved

Usual sunday major meltdown from rory, pressure got to him again

Rose disappointing as well, koepka left himself too much to do but will be right there again at portrush

No he didn't.

Had a bad break on 2 not ending up in the bunker. Koepka on the hand got a luck break and made par. That's just the way it goes.

To put it in context, to take it to a playoff - McIlroy would have had to shoot 64 in the final day of the us open. Hardly a melt down and he knew he had to chase a score.

He knows that...

McIlroy's damage was done on Friday with Bogey/Double Bogey on  13 & 14.

Inter want Lukaku. But can't afford him. Trying to offload Icardi as part of the deal, who is a great player "on his day", but can be awful on other days.

But Lukaku is a proven goalscorer . . .  Wooodward should tell them £100m or feck off!!

How do you work out Pogbas value as well in excess of £90m?

United shouldn't be selling Lukaku for less than £80 million or Pogba for less than £130/140 million.

Hard to see what club pays that sort of money for either of them?

Lukaku is a proven goalscorer and that is the going rate for a striker with his age profile and goal return rate.

Again, Pogba cost £90 odd million and given his age profile, marketability etc he should be in that bracket.  Also coming off his best season technically.
