Quote from: LC on June 02, 2024, 08:21:51 AMGreat to see a victory for Offaly bearing in mind how as a county they have fallen by the wayside in recent years.  Will definitely be in the shake up for honours next year as they are only losing 4 of the starting 15.

No doubt they have a strong panel but I noticed last night that one of the guys being taken off was far from happy with the management.  None of us like getting the curly finger from the side line but as the saying goes there is no I in team.

Johnny and Leo weren't long letting him know what they thought of his antics.

Nipped in the bud.

A game of contrasts, one team was visibly more bulked up than the other, the additional year may well have been a factor or is it how one perceives hurling is going and the other still concentrating on hurling and technique and it certainly helped on the day, but will that still be the outcome at senior.

Young Screeney gets all the plaudits, but it's certainly not a one man show. Offaly have quality performers all over the park, plenty of the traditional Offaly wristyness and some had serious pace, a midfielder and the No.11 in particular and they were also shorn of one of their best defenders who was added late to the panel and only came on in the last 5 minutes.

Tipps need to get lads into senior is every bit as important to them as well now, young McCarthy has won all in front of him this year barring Saturday night, he'll maybe get a run in the league, although I think he may have another year at U20 also.

Quote from: Wildweasel74 on June 02, 2024, 06:15:44 PMDerry bollixed for the year. Am surprised all the issues in Portugal never got outside the county. Not sure if it was showing it on tv, but the Armagh men were taking turns to rattle McFaul from the minute he came on

Have heard the trip mentioned a few times now - what is 'supposedly' meant to have happened?

very little.

No. He kicked him in the head, regardless of force.

Scummy low dig.

Should have been a straight red.

Don't try and excuse scummy behaviour. Kicking a man in the head when on the ground is scummy behaviour.

To be honest I was fairly confident all week, then when I heard Mackin and Murnin were out I thought we're going to strugggle. Hats off to every man on that field.

Quote from: Armagh18 on Today at 06:58:29 AMDerry were that bad we would have won on penalties ;)

Going into the game I was thinking well at least there's one result we know won't happen today. A loss on penalties

Quote from: Wildweasel74 on June 02, 2024, 11:31:23 PMMurray a mile of fitness for a county player, he was puffing before half time. Thought only Baker really stood up today, with a number of players looking way of the pace. Would O'Rourke had got a more stronger panel in place?
outside of the Glen boys who didn't want to commit who else should be there that would make a difference?
