It is very difficult to really judge Tally on the season. On paper, ok no victories but there were some signs that the team can still be dangerous. I dont see him being the man to win an Ulster or reach an All Ireland final. Tactically he is a level or two below the real elite managers.

In saying all that any team with McCluskey, McEvoy, McKinless, Glass, Rogers, McFaul, E.Doherty and McGuigan can be a threat to anyone on their day.

Is it worth persevering with Tally for another year? Well the real question should be- after the disastrous managerial hunt last year can we really do any better???

As Tally said himself they played 13 times this year and every time it was against Div 1 teams. They've been desperately unlucky. Kerry and Tyrone's record against Div 1 teams this year isn't much to write home about. They'd be mad to ditch Tally if he wants to stay on.

Monaghan are in an AI QF. Have they beat any Div 1 teams? Louth won a Leinster without beating any Div 1 teams.

I think Tally is of the Gallagher mould when it comes to mgmt, top tier coach and more than capable as a lead man, the margins are razor thin and he'd come in late etc, would expect a better showing next year if the squad buys in, but ultimately long term Derry need to wise the f**k up and find a Derry man to take the reigns

Fair play to Meyler for getting back but does he not make a big deal out of a lot of things. Mind reading an article about him few years ago about getting his sleep just right and how prepared he was for everything.

Maybe he should have a holiday or smoke a bit of weed or something.

Note: I do realise that he's way more talented than a lowly ladies footballer like myself before someone points that out!

That was the article about him taping his mouth shut at night to improve his breathing. I thought that was absolute f**king madness too but heard since it's pretty common place amongst the Tyrone senior team. Seems mental to me.

That goes way back before Myler... Tom Herron from Coalisland introduced that when he was in the Tyrone setup with Harte about 2011. He still promotes breathing through the nose on his Facebook and with other athletes.
Strange how Myler thought it was new or newsworthy.

I'd worry about Armagh defensively particularly if MCCambridge injury was bad. That said I don't think Armagh have put two good half's back to back yet. If they do that they could be hard beaten.

Armagh are easily the best defence left in the championship. I can't think of one better than them.

I'm not sure I agree. McKay is a big miss as Will McCambrdige and Burns be if they aren't able to return. I'd play McCormack ahead of McGrane but that may be my club loyalty showing

Is Burns injured too? Didn't know that.

They both limped off so I think it's hoped they'll be ok but you never know. I had read that McKay highly unlikely to feature this year but others were expecting him back this past weekend so hard to know.

Had to settle for a pretty bad view seat after hours of trying to get the ticketmaster website to work. It was very frustrating. I didn't get what I wanted and there is no proper way of getting in touch with ticketmaster so they might put things right.

Ticketmaster don't seem to care with events like these, they know it will sell out and they will get their money. You have no real right of reply.

I know I'm in the minority but I had a very pleasant experience this afternoon and had a great selection of seats available.

Do we simply not have contractors capable of building complex facilities on time and in budget?

The problem with the NCH in Dublin is half greasy contractors, half bureaucrats changing specs mid stream.

Can't bck Urkaine but diving head first into this. How come Israel has got so ingrained in US govt level.The % of Jewish people in the US can't be more than 5/8%.

Nothing to do with number of Jews. America has always been interested in seeing as much turmoil in oil producing countries as is possible. Nigeria, Iraq, Venezuela, Russia, its US policy to destabilise any country with sizeable oil reserves. Israel helps fulfil this aim in the Middle East.

Belfast has multiple outdoor concerts per year, I work a lot of them, the likes of Belsonic has 10 or more alone, Féile an Phobail is Ireland biggest community arts festival.. The SSE has multiple gigs

So while I don't think it will be tearing the place up with a lot more concerts, it will have an opportunity to be in with a shout to bid for them or attract more people.

The capacity is too big, thought it at the time, I'd have settled for a 30,000 seater closed in type but sure lets see what happens eh? Hopefully I'll be still alive when it/if done

The really big miss was not having a fully roofed multi-purpose stadium in Belfast for soccer, rugby, concerts and GAA. It would have gotten so much use, been eligible for major tournaments in rugby and soccer and had a cracking atmosphere. The ~400 million we will have pissed away on Casement, Windsor and Ravenhill would have built it I think.
