GAA Discussion / Re: Super 8s

Anyone else think the Super 8s should culminate with the Croke Park games instead of starting with them?

They do for Roscommon.

I assume itís to ensure the champion v champion matches arenít dead rubbers, thereís a high likelihood that those two teams can win both their first group matches and only have positioning to play for in the final match.. Iíd agree with the GAA on playing them first TBH. Make the Croke Park matches matter.

Galway well worth their win and we're more than 4 points better than us. A penalty 4 minutes into added time made the scoreboard more respectable.

A four point win just about reflected the game correctly.

Beating Kerry has always been our speciality anyways.

I like these things. It's always interesting to hear an outsiders view on our games and this is a very good way of getting that view.

Youíre not getting an outsiderís view. Youíre getting a view from an outsider framed by the fact heís being paid to say nice things about the sport his paymaster is a major sponsor of. There is a massive difference.

Last yearís attempt descended into saccharine platitudes too regularly.

Could you just imagine if Dublin somehow didn't get through to the semi finals? Bets busted all over the country.

Itís as likely as Tyrone winning the AI.

This idea is at least ten times stupider than last yearís.

Ourselves and Cavan will struggle to stay up next spring.

Word on the street that Roch is going to walk the plank too..

Fee counties will be watching that I'm sure, not for Rochford but to see what mcentee will do

I'd say most counties would do well to have a man like Rochford in charge

0 trophies.

It was confirmed to me by a man in the know that coach told Cora she was an impact sub. Cora didn't like that and threw a hissy fit. Brought up a pile of stuff about welfare and walked with half the panel.

If ye canít win this one itís going to be embarrassing.

How are the roscommon ladies getting on syphilis or are there any ladies there

Stellar performance winning the Connacht final there a few weeks ago.

Was in gym today in Westpark Tallaght and Tom Parsons was doing a bit of gym work. Hopefully we will see him back in action next year.

If he even plays for his club in 2019 it will be a miracle.

So Dublin have made official what we all knew all along.
Croke Park IS their home ground.
That or Roscommon not wanting to cause any hassle.

In fairness if Roscommon lose their first two games and Dublin win theirs then I could see that game being moved to Parnell Park. Rossies wont travel with nothing at stake and Dublin will have qualified so no attraction for Dublin fans either. Would make sense to move to PP.

It's a double header with the u20 final sol i'd say it stays  put

Hopefully there'll be 2 Connacht counties with prizes at stake.

We'll already be qualified for the AISF by then, Farr.
