I learned a new word on Sunday from an oul lad I was standing beside at the game.

He told me that B/K and R/E were both 'mangalated' teams.

I only got in for the second half of this game and a Rosenallis were looking like easy winners they were that dominant. They were far more tenacious in the tackle and looked the hungrier team. They also had forwards who found it easier to get the points. It would have been daylight robbery if The Harps had of squeezed a win with their rally after they got the goal.
Harps looked disorganised and at times looked like an intermediate or junior team.

I didn't think the ref was great at all and let a lot of dangerous pulls go unpunished. It was a hard physical game and I felt he let it flow at times when he blown. He certainly blew enough times for over carrying.

Also, can someone tell the Harps to change the colour of the jersey numbers. Very hard to make out who was on the ball at times because it was hard to read the number.

Best of luck to Rosenallis in the Leinster campaign but between the hurling and football all these games will catch up on them. Clubs in the county should look at their set up and take it on board. A fantastic achievement for a small rural club.

What exactly have they done to get to this point?

Few observations from the game.

Backs on both sides were dominant overall. PJ is a very reliable free taker but doesn't give enough from open play as opposed to Mark Kavanagh say.

Paddy Purcell is a beast of a man. He took a few heavy hits, one that we could hear under the scoreboard and still came back for more. He's a great athlete.

King got some lovely points and it begs the question as to how the final might have gone last year if he played for the full game.

John Purcell was excellent I thought.

It was great to hear both PAddy Purcell and Roddy King speak about giving Leinster a right go as they will be representing Laois. This was just after the game so it shows the mindset. Fair play to them and I hope they can beat St Rynaghs. They definately are best placed to compete in the Leinster club game.

The ref wasn't too bad for the game although I though their were times he could have blown sooner when things were getting heated at times.

Going as a complete neutral tomorrow and donít have a favourite. Itís been a very good year for Laois hurling and I hope our showpiece will be too. No repeat of last year or the aftermath. I do think that if R/E would do better in Leinster club championship.

They had their chances today to at least take it to a replay. Great effort by them all the same.

They certainly made a difference when they got back. Which team will change jerseys or will both have to.

It's great recognition for the lads, and for the whole team really, and a reward for the months of training etc. It's been a great year and hopefully we can continue improving next year.

They wouldn't all be starters. Still a good strong panel with subs who can come on and have an impact.

If that were the case I think many of the older players will call it a day. Couldn't see them having much appetite for him after the Sugrue term.

I am sure there were plenty current and former Laois footballers at the game in O'Moore PArk. What's your point?

Court wood gave Kilcruise a bit of a trimming. Big game against the neighbours next for Kilcruise while Courtwood can test themselves against the town

Kilcruise v Portlaoise if they get over Courtwood or a local derby against Ballylinan.
