hi chaps; dont wanna keep stirrin up the hornets nest, but i was at this match on sunday, about 5 yards away from the row;
about 5seconds before francis jumped into the crowd he was mouthing at a ballinderry supporter, not sayin this was wile wrong, as it appeared this guy had been mouthin at him as he was sent off;
it was at this stage a scuffle started between 2sets of supporters, all i could see were guys in late 20s/early 30s; didnt see any old men at all; sorry;
this was when francis jumped through the wire, followed by twin;
so to keep sayin it was related to his father is in my opinion wrong;
im not sayin his father wasnt kicked/hit; it may even have been very close to this row; i just dont know;

but in my opinion they jumped through the wire to join in the row;

neutral (who was half hopin to see the robbies, as they now want to be known as, win)
and btw, devlins wasa definite spit, in case there is any ambiguity, saw it clear as day

« on: March 20, 2008, 12:52:04 PM »
alrite chaps; my first thread creation, so go easy on me;
i know there was a St Patricks day thread there a day or two ago, hope this deserves a thread of its own...

from a smallish town in South Derry; on Saturday nite there, 3 of the local "free ireland" brigade amended our Town Hall sign to.............IRA own all......thought this was pretty good; from what ive heard, it was the walking up the street at 3am with ladders which was the giveaway.  They were arrested.  Just thought id share this with you, and ask you to share any similar neanderthal attempts at freeing ireland.....

We are also starting a "Free the conundrum three" campaign......

apologies folks; a rogue jibbajabba got me details for a nite; ye would know by his substandard english that it werent me.....
but what he says wasnt far off the mark as it happens!
heartiest congrats to the minor team; some achievement; and thanks for the last 6 years; been a pleasure watching and followin them;

hardstation, lee kennedy got man of the tourno; fully deserved, though ye need to play some ball to get any sort of award ahead of the kieltmeister; so many unsung heroes also;
and aerlik, the stat is indeed correct, one game lost, in an all ireland feile quarter or semi (in my opinion we should now hunt this team down, and get a rematch)!;
couple of fine tussles with the shamrocks and also foreglen in later years, but never defeated...

Dudes I was there too supporting the pearses - as I have been in the club all evening as well! As drunk as I am at this fine hour I Have to say this game could have gone either way before our boys came out the stronger. Though I think  we were deserved winners (and I think most neutrals will agree with that) I do think 6 points was quite flattering!

Im not a great believer in luck but I do believe in Fate! 3 years ago we were beat by the elements prbably more than the Rostrevor side as fate would have it. today fate was on our side today. However I do feel that in the first 15 and last 15 when we moved the ball quickly to Lee Kennedy - Errrigal had no answer to this and it was always going to win us the game!

lee Kennedy was named player of the tournament - proper order ! He is ne of the nicest level headed young guys you will meet! Great credit to his mother and father (Bernie & alec) and the club! Quite worryingly for the Pearses though is - he has been quoted tonight in the club as saing he is now going to focus on winning his centre midfield spot back for Kilrea United soccer team! Kevy and Pavo watch out! He must have 12-15 years on you pair of halyins !

Apologies again - its been a long day and im tired and emotional!!!!!!!!!!!!!
