General discussion / Re: Parking Ticket Questio

What about the M50 toll?
Got a letter from back in August when it wasn’t paid
Northern reg car and address

If it’s your first time they’ll let you off if you call them up and offer to pay the toll. If you make a habit of it they can seize your car in extreme cases. I’d pay up, its only 3 euro.

Not after this in time I’d say it’s around €50/60 if it’s from back in August!

It’s €11 at the minute
Letter landed the day

Sinn Fein will hardly go parliament to vote this through?
Will it come down to this small of numbers
Could be an option?

General discussion / Re: Stove problem
« on: November 10, 2018, 11:58:56 AM »
Anyone got a Stanley Reginald stove with back boiler?
I have an external air supply from one side of house (west facing). Good draw of air coming in
I find the stove more responsive to the secondary air control ie the bar at the underside of the stove
The primary air control knob at the back- the thermostat- seems to have little or no impact on the roar of the fire compared to the secondary air control which cuts off the roar and dulls the redness of fire when closed down.

Anybody else similar experience with a Reginald?

Semi Finals are a double header in Omagh on Sunday 18th

Eoghan Rua (Doire) v Scotstown (Muineachán) 1.30pm
Crossmaglen (Ard Mhacha) v Gaoth Dobhair (Dún na nGall) 3.30pm

Will TG4 broadcast any of the games?

Watched the highlights on TG4 last night from Cross/Fianna game and Burren/Kilcoo and Gweedore

Some mighty long range kicking for points in the closing from the O Neill brothers. A joy to watch. Fine strikers of a ball

Burren has a massive  call for a penalty at the end turned down. Free all day if that foul was committed anywhere else on pitch

Cassidy calling shots up from for Gweedore. If Odhran MacNiallias Is back the Cross game should be some battle

Any word on venues for semi finals?

A double header in Omagh would be ideal

Aside from manager salarys. I know the season is yet to be finished but have any managers parted company with their club already? Not sure on Munroes stance with Carmen if i'm honest.. Be surprised if he's chooses to continue into next year!
Change of management in Dromore already in place.

Who’s in Dromore?

Am I right in thinking the Div 2 playoffs will be:

Lough v Stewartstown (sneaked into 5th place on head to head with Augher)

Gortin v Dungannon

I'm assuming Lough and Gortin will have home advantage? Are these games down for this weekend?

Fixtures are out:

General discussion / Re: Avoiding rates on new house- NI

Not sure of the exact process but don’t think you would be implicating anyone
You are just pointing out you are overrated, the similar houses are what you should be based on
Beware of garages/sheds on these other houses or your own since last evaluation
Sheds are usually rateable unless agricultural- see Stephen Brimstone for tips!

Have a rates review at my house in the morning and really the only thing i can hit them with is that i'm not tapped into mains water. Is there any tips you can give to help.

Examples of what other similar size houses in area are paying- find out the house number and street and google eg. “21 Main Street, Coalisland LPS” will give you the value
This is your best bet if you can get a like for like house paying less

Throw in the usuals like no street lighting, no footpaths, no winter gritting, no school buses, no broadband, no verge cutting, no mobile phone reception, potholes etc

Might not be much help but may sway your case
Do a bit of research on similar sized houses paying less is your best bet from experience

Was Sunday the first time John Brennan has been beaten in a County final as manager with any of the teams he has been with across Derry, Tyrone, Antrim?

Not sure NIE are as tightly regulated as the UK?
I could be wrong but they def have a different Regulator

Put your complaint into them https://www.uregni.gov.uk

Also put complaint into consumer council NI

Dublin seem to be broadcasting all their championship games on YouTube for free
Suppose they have plenty of money so don’t need to charge
Good service to be fair
