General discussion / Re: The Official UFC Thread

I miss the old McGregor. He was funny at press conferences and now heís running about hugging and shaking hands.
Whatís wrong with that? Itís about time he caught himself on.

Itís not as entertaining. Iím not fooled by this nice guy act either. I like the trash talkers combat sports but I can understand why itís not for everyone.

Trash talk is fine as long as there a bit of wit or intelligence to it. McGregor started out exactly like that. He's no idiot and was an interesting guy. Then it descended into nonsense.

The success and money completely changed him and he became increasingly moronic (calling Siver a Nazi, telling Aldo he'd ride into a favela on horseback and kill anyone not fit to work, umpteen things in the build up to the farce with Mayweather, screaming "smell of shite off yer da" at Khabib) etc etc etc. In that wonderfully Irish way of ours, this attracted a whole load of absolute scrotes who find that sort of thing hysterical whilst raiding their CU accounts to get to Vegas every time.

Khabib then took his soul and he was humbled awfully quick. I think he realised you can only sustain that level of twattery if you keep winning so has toned it down considerably. All the apes who climbed aboard the bandwagon are gone so he doesn't have to play to them any more. All for the better in my opinion.
Spot on.

If it takes him to start mouthing and acting the dick at a press conference for you to get excited for a fight then i can understand why UFC isn't for you, especially when showing respect to an oppenent is labelled as an act. Casuals are usually what these people are called.

"An unbearable 38.5 degrees celsius", surely they are from Vietnam and that is a normal summers day for them. It was the lack of air that did them in.
What an insensitive and scientifically stupid comment - even smacks of racism.  Up to you, but you would be well advised to remove it.
Insensitive yes, racist no.

Can't remember if I said before but Lupin is a good watch. Only 5 episodes and if you like The Thomas Crown Affair etc. you'll like it.

I'll have to stick with it then I was starting to waver on only the second episode, a bit corny?
Oh it is surely. It's fairly light-hearted and st only 5 episodes I was happy to go along with it. My heart sinks when I see these 20 episode series.
Now the 2nd most watched series in Netflix history. And it's only been out for 2 weeks. Not bad going

Pundits completely missing the point again. Loss of the centre halfs has nothing to do with it. I don't even see the need to buy one unless we trade Matip out. It's not our defence that's the problem it's the attack and in particular Firmino. He's done, past it. When he's in form we're unstoppable like against Cyrstal Palace but those days are as rare as hens teeth. He's constantly butchering chances, slowing down the attack, taking the wrong option. If we'd an absolute world class centre forward it would solve a lot of our problems. A goal scorer with a very good touch who can link the play with those around him. The 2 best players in the world at it are lewandoski and Haland. Lewandoski is past it so unless anyone else knows a 9 who likes to play on the break but can also bring other players into it when holding the ball up.

The next big problem is TAA. He's bad, like so bad that I'd play anyone ahead of him at right back. His form is even worse than Firmino, everything he touches is turning to shit. His greatest assest, his passing is completely gone awry, if he doesn't get a good break from the 1st team he'll never get over this slump. I don't know if its mental or burnout or what his problem is but he needs a good break from football to clear his head.

Lastly Klopp is letting us down badly against these teams who sit back and play narrow. We're constantly trying to play through the centre and getting nowhere. The team needs to either play crosses in behind the defence from 30 yards or else run the sideline and get in behind the full backs to get in crosses. Balls delivered into the box between keeper and a backtracking defence punishes teams with a lot of men back because there's a much greater chance someone will poke the ball past their own keeper. We spent the entire last 30 mins trying to play the ball through 10 men camped on the edge of the box. It was never going to work.
Agree and disagee on a few things there. We absolutely do need a CB, even on loan. It seem VVD will be back sooner than expected so i understand if we don't sign anyone but a loan, someone like Militao as mentioned should be brought it to bolster options. While I agree about Firmino and trent, the problems in defence are therefore meaning we need to play Henderson and Fabinho in CB which hinders our midfield which in turns has a detrimental impact on attack and play going forward in general, VVD played like a quarterback and that has an impact on attack. The CB injuries alone have had a knock on impact throughout the whole team.

Lewandowski isnt finished, hes the best striker in the world and has been for a few years. We'll not be signing him though anyway.

On our play, i don't know what games you've been watching but all we did tonight was cross, and fire countless aimless crosses into the box and that is the problem. Trent and Robertson have been shocking and their crossing has let us down. In actual fact it seems like we don't have the confidence to play through the middle enough, Man City have the right idea, but we just resort to putting in aimless crosses, almost like a cop-out. Of course it doesn't help when our whole team is off form either and playing without confidence.

Agreed. Very good

United are pish, and so are we to be fair. We should be beating them handy even with half a team. City have it won now.

More deflection. Just as I thought.

It's actually true. What sort of oddball go around posting in other county forums?

Derry voyeurs, utterly obsessed by everything and anything to do with Tyrone.

Yourself, Lenny and Screen need to get some collective therapy sessions to remove your voyeuristic tendencies.
It actually isnít, and you know it.
For the third time now, what part of ďIím not a derry manĒ is difficult to understand. This whole charade is another form of deflection after being picked apart yet again. Truth hurts I suppose.

If you're not a Derryman then why are you voyeuring around the Tyrone forums? Don't you have a county to follow yourself?

The "I'm not a Derryman" excuse doesn't really wash with me.
More deflection. I note you have now stopped talking about the previous canavan debate and the current debate of this morning, and youíve now resorted to speculating about my county allegiance because I agreed with something you didnít like. It just gets better and the hole youíre digging for yourself just gets deeper. Iíll take another W on this one again thanks  ;D while you howl into the wind again frantically wondering what county Iím from. Too easy.

And fwiw, i post on the tyrone forums to hold your nonsensical hypocrisy to account, and you clearly donít like it.

We've been true this before. Nothng I have said is contradictory, you ran away the last time you were made a fool out of. You seem to post on forums of other counties because you seem to be more obsessed with the fortunes of other counties than your own. It's a very weird type of obsession and I can see you're more than a little embarrassed about it.
We have been through it before, and Iím glad youíre finally starting to take heed, slowly but surely weíll get it into that skull of yours eventually.
I have highlighted your contradictions and hypocrisy on two separate debates today and one a few weeks ago. You claimed I was another poster and were made to look like an absolute fool also, so I understand youíre still a bit touchy about it but you should be thanking me for leaving you to howl at the moon and save you from further embarrassment.
Nope, just holding your nonsensical hypocrisy to account, I donít care that you donít like it.

More fantasy and revisionism for you.

You ran away after be found to be talking out of your arse the first time. Then I find out you are some oddball you goes around lurking on other county forums, someone who is more interested in other counties than his own.
Not fantasy, those are the facts of the matter.
You ran away from the debates today and started speculating about my county allegiance because your arguments didnít hold water and your hypocrisy was outed, and you didnít like it. And then resorted to deflection tactics because you were being picked apart. Youíre predictable as well as incapable.
I can see youíre still hurting about me making a dick out of you the first time. Itís ok Angela.

All you have repeated in this thread is fantasy. I have actually spoken logically, with examples of precedent (O'Neill), references to how Canavan has been handled to date with Errigal and Tyrone and how he has been dealt with carefully and must continue to be so.

In contrast you have spoken in vague and fantasist terms about things that never happened. You're all bluster but it's ok we know you are mortified about being exposed as a voyeur of other counties while too embarrassed to disclose your own.
No fantasy, not my fault you donít like the truth.
You havenít spoken logically, youíve spoken with hypocrisy.
Iíve already said one example is irrelevant and isnít the norm, but you continue to spew it to suit your own agenda, and how he doesnít need to be minded.

Vague haha I canít be any clearer, Iím purposefully writing in short sentences now hoping that it will get into your thick skull, and also because Iíve already explained myself ten times.
The only embarrassment here is yours. Youíve been outed and made fool out of.
My county is neither here nor there, you donít like it because youíve been held to account.
