That was some finish, even if it was a square-ball and probably not a penalty. Cork need to get their heads out of their arses and realise they're playing in a semi-final, because they looked way off the pace. they didnt have any fight and Kerry cleaned up on all the breaks in the 2nd half,

It was pathetic indeed, perhaps a few suspensions handed out for this type f behavior would cut it out. It makes me sick to see talented players acting in this manner. It makes me even more sick to see people of my own county do it.

My suspicions are aroused indeed. Some very questionable scores given and not given. Perhaps Paddy Barnes wasnt chewing sour grapes so much after.

Ken needed to step in and really take the fight to him but thats not really his style, and when one round goes wrong its very hard to pull it back in just a 4 round fight.

BUt well done to Ken, Silver medal is a great achievement .

And Maldini, take your racist shite somewhere else!

Really odd, as far as I'm aware there is no Irish league baseball team in Derry. What could they possibly be using them for?

Aye, Kenny was class. Too good for Jefferies. Hopefully he can deliver the gold. looks like good craic in the Irish crowd, a few other nationalities joining in on it too!! You cant beat the Irish for a bit of craic

5-1 to Kenny, C'mon Kenny. to be fair Jefferies isnt up to much

I dunno Juice, someone has to throw him the ball and the Bears have possibly the worst offense in the NFL.

Yeah but he gets points for Kick returns. He'll be useful to throw in against poor special teams.

to be honest he's let himself down there. Pity to hear that.  but as ludemor says, I'm sure he'll be happy with his medal after a while, theres feck all lads walking around with Olympic bronze medals and plenty leaving Bei Jing with nothing.

Yeah Shiming Zou is a class boxer, you could see he's on a different level. Paddy has nothing to be upset about he's done brilliantly. and was put out by arguably the best in the world at that weight.

didnt stick around to see the interview, maybe he felt he should have got a few scores but he never landed a convincing punch to be honest.

Surpried to get Devin Hester so late. I reckon h'll get me a few points. Although he;s a Rookie I expect Chris Johnson from Tennesee to have a big one.

Degale got it tactically right, or perhaps his corner did. He won deservedly. Darren didn't respond to this and stuck with trying to get in close and playing into DeGales hands. Anyway a Bronze medal for Navan.

After the hearing interview, you know I'd hardly recognise the Navan accent anymore,  ;)

Ah now Jinxy, dont be like that.

We have a good team alright but we havent blown anyone away. But we've got this far and we ran Tyrone close already in the league so who knows what can happen.  Tyrone are generally regarded as the strongest minor team in the country at the minute so it'll be a hard task.

This was the team that lined out in the quarter finals:

1 Padraig Curran, St Peters, Dunboyne
2 Stephen O'Brien, Ratoath
3 Ciaran Lenehan, Skryne
4 Sean Curran, Donaghamore/Ashbourne
5 Enda Nulty, Round Towers
6 Tommy Johnson (Capt), St Martins
7 Donnacha Tobin, Blackhall Gaels
8 Jamie Owens, Nobber
9 Damian Carroll, Ballinabrackey
10 Darragh Smyth, Bective
11 Michael Newman, Round Towers
12 Mark Collins, Duleek/Bellewstown
13 Jake Regan, O'Mahonys
14 Andrew Tormey, Donaghamore/Ashbourne
15 Mark Battersby, St Vincents/Curraha
