Just as a point of interest . . . have United actually created a bona fide chance to score yet??

Considering they are playing against 10 men this is a pretty poor performance. Liverpool are performing admirably from what I can see!!

Penalty . . . Dive

Red Card . . . should have been a yellow

Berbatov . . . does anyone go down easier in the league?

Howard Webb judged that as a red card and reckoned that De Jong trying to put his foot through Xabi Alonso's chest in a World Cup Final was just a yellow card . . . oh that's right Alonso wasn't playing for Man United so it didn't matter. People always ask for consistency of refereeing well where is it???!!!!

Webb should not be allowed to take charge of United games, this crap has been going for at least 2 years now!!

Does he not have a point tho that anyone wishing to be regarded as a 'big' club should expect to have won the league withiin the past 2 decades?
Does that mean Blackburn are a bigger club?

Yes!

Having read that about Cian Healey I can't help but think that the central contract maybe hinders a lot of our players. As mentioned previously Buckley could have done some amount of improving if he had gone to England. Likewise I think that Cian Healy could learn a lot had he been shipped to Wales, France or England. I think that in areas where we are weak it would not do any harm to ship lads off for a while to get them some experience.

In Tommy Bowe's case he was already a superb winger and if anything his stint at the Ospreys has turned him into one of the best in the world. Yes I agree with having central contracts to a point but for positions where we are weak such as Scrum Half, Front row I don't see the harm in letting a few lads head off to try and improve themselves!

If utd go undefeated all season that will be a better achievement that the invincilbes team.

Ehhhhh??

I think what he is hinting at is they are not as talanted a side as the Arsenal invincibles therefore a bigger achievement to go unbeaten.

By the way I think they will be beaten at some stage before the end of the league. They will win it though.

They certainly are not as talented as that Arsenal side EC I agree, but they are also playing teams of lesser ability than the Arsenal team had to face at the time. The point is moot anyway unless the unbeaten run continues to the end of the season!

I think it was a tough call for either AP or GMac and I wouldn't begrudge either man of the award. Couldn't believe the number of people on Facebook last night who were not happy with Gmac winning the Free State personality.  .  . fair play to him I think!

Ah come on now. You have to appreciate that United fans are used to the greatest manager in the history of British soccer for the last 20+ years so their standards are bound to be unrealistically high.  :P

True, and this Liverpool fan thinks Ferguson is the greatest of them all. Between 1966 and the present day, the Scotish championship has been won by a non-Old Firm team on four occassions. Three of them were by the Aberdeen managed by Alex Ferguson. His record with Man U speaks for itself. He'll be impossible to replace. Fun and games ahead!

To be honest I can't wait until he retires for a few reasons. He is the best around and I think the Club will hit a bit of turmoil when he leaves as different managers struggle to win over players/fans. . . they will not be able to handle another manager and will judge them by previous standards which is of course ludicrous but can't be helped in todays culture.

I also think that a club that has had so much integrity in the Premier League while other teams seem to be a revolving door for managers will fall into that trap due to supporter expectation. . . I'm sooo excited I can't wait until that day arrives!!!!
