Tight junior final by the looks of it. Two point win for Lisburn. Fair play to them. Good to see a strengthening GAA presence there.
28 years after last junior win , after two loses in the final , st Patrick’s won the JFC, after a hard fought game against Ardoyne, with 14 men for over 50 mins

Shocking intervention. But sure as long as no-one on the teams disagreed  ::) Whats the point of having rules if some lad with an ego can just overwrite them when he feels like it? They all signed up to it, if they need changed (and I'm not a fan of the rule), then there's a process to do that, the same process that set them. Unbelievable to see him striding in to call a halt  :-[
100%.Especially since it was Antrim's own bye laws that created the problem in the first place!

The kicking competition was created by Central Council not Antrim CCC

I thought the rule was a further 2 x 5min period of extra time if it was a draw after first period of extra time?

After the St. John’s portglenone game, the general consensus was that games should be finished on the day, now people are happy with a 2nd replay on this occasion.

Extra 5 mins each way , after extra time abandoned  last year for 33 m free kicks. 2020 will see a straight forward penalty shoot out from 11m !

If a player receives a red card and a one match ban for the next championship game, but in that next game the opposition concede, does the players ban roll on to the next game?
Yes it rolls over! You can’t escape the rules. Another example would be a player sent off in last eligible U 21 game ( over age the next year ) would have ban carried over to next senior game eligible to play in .

Yes. It rolls over to next game ! No escaping the rules. Another example would be a player sent off at end of u21 age group but over age the next year , is banned from senior level match(es)

Once had a parent ask me for the child’s membership fee back in the middle of a tournament. I quickly opened the wallet and handed it back and pointed them in the direction of the gate!
f**k you fairly showed them there, great promotion of the primary ethos of the GAA.  ::)

You need to know when to cut your losses. Some arse moaning in yer ear on a weekly basis , needs to know that the club won’t fall apart without them.

And a scoreboard , as well.
I thought the ref managed the game very well!

Great pace in PG1 attack but size of pitch was an advantage. Some amount of Antrim clubs represented in the stand. A  midweek match was a bonus for the neutral spectator.

€5 for football quailifer round 1 games, basically
8 sets of team sheets, mugging people to boost the income!

They are quick enough to fine clubs for not returning trophies  every March .

Dsrrsgh o Shea column in today’s IT entitled ‘Tyrone’s focus on dark arts only hurt themselves’ and then goes on to to give one very dodgy example about a tyrone player supposedly pretending to be subbed then wasn’t.  That was it!!! Crap article.

Did anyone else notice Kerry players, on 2 separate occasions, throwing away Tyrone players' gumshields? One was Peter Harte's, the other was Cathal McShanes

Saw  full back throw Cat's behind the Davin end goals , when he was down for injury break !

"Ten years ago, in 2009, it cost €70 for a stand ticket to the final, meaning the price has increased by 28.5pc."

I dont remember a pay rise to match that in 10 years.

It's the compressed number of fixtures that hit the pocket hardest !

Disappointing game overall.
Lacked intensity and no drive in the game at all.
Refereeing was abject all over the pitch.
Ultimately, I thought Tyrone over utilised the long pass into Mc Shane , the passes were not pin point enough for him to maximise the scoring opportunities... in first half   he was clear at  edge of square  and got a shocking pass.
The quality of the foot passing was the undoing of Tyrone.

On another point , why don't Harte and Brolly start a campaign for Sky to be provided by all  health care companies  ,in residential / sheltered homes. They are not short of making a few pound from the state as it is.

You could be onto something there, I’d say Brolly and Harte would have a big influence on Murdoch.
None of the Murdoch family have any more involvement now with either Sky Ireland or Sky UK. Both are, since October last year, wholly owned subsidiaries of the American communications & media giant, Comcast.

The emphasis was on the health care providers here to provide Sky package , if you  read the thing correctly!!
