MB to conclude: “We look at Stoke and it’s hard as the new coach has had 3 games. So we analysed the 26 games he (Nathan Jones) had at Luton.” #lufc

One positive change I'd like to see is a traditional Irish split in the GAA. Let the Ulster teams who favour the current set up carry on as they are, giving primacy to tactical massed defence, running with the ball through "blankets", passing through the hands, further development of the game into a sort of basketball/rugby hybrid, coming up with new ways to spoil the spectacle etc etc and let the more naive, purist counties from Connacht , Munster and Leinster get on with developing their game back into something it should resemble i.e. FOOTball 😜

If you go to 39:07 you will hear John O'Mahony talking about the Mick O'Dwyer managed Kildare team playing a blanket defense in 1998.  Bit ironic that most people assume Pat Spillane invented the term in 2003 when giving out about northern teams.

At that time Tyrone used a high press on whoever was in possession. Not even remotely defensive. The exact same thing Kerry did in 1997 except Tyrone were more systematic in their application.

Anyone see Zebo's Instagram post? Seems to be implying the Ulster crowd shouting some awful stuff.

"RTÉ's live club championship matches will consist of two matches each weekend, from September through November. Running alongside TG4's existing coverage, RTÉ will select their own two matches separate from the Irish language broadcaster's choices."

That's a serious amount of club football. Great to see!

Hopefully tg4 get 1st preference , theyve done great coverage throughout the years and deserve he pick of the games but delighted rte are on board now too and its great all the extra coverage

TG4 have first choice.

Eh....yeah ....right....okay
That's probably your most articulate post today, to be fair.

It's certainly a lot more articulate than the torrents of racist, misogynist, transphobic rot you were angrily spewing out earlier.

There's no sadder and more pathetic little man than one who feels threatened by the happiness and well being of others, as you so clearly do about trans people.

How’s the hat coming along?

Maybe you can pretend to be black too like that guy Shaun King from Black Lives Matter

Think about could go to the march as a Black Woman.   How wild would that be?

Sid indicated he wants females of color to lead the democrat ticket in the next election

Warren / Dolzeal 2020

Who cares? Only sexists and racists.

Was Gunner not given extra time off with the club run to Ulster final?

Has anyone stuck with Rebellion? Watched the 1st one. Seems shite. Rest recorded. Mightn't bother. Should I?

2nd episode more shite than 1st, 3rd picked up a bit.

Just discovered this is on Netflix here in the US.

Is is worth investing my valuable couch potato time in it?

It's dull considering the material they are working with. Well acted but just dull. The new one seems the same.

47 goals last year in first two rounds of McKenna cup. 24 this year and that includes 6 for Armagh v Marys.

2016 Premier league champions knocked out of the FA Cup this evening by league two side Newport County.

Why a team that's not going to get relegated or win the league puts out a weakened team I'll never know.

Kompany lead with the studs and should have walked. Another ref bottles it when a big call is the right one. Man City played like a team who needed the win more and just about deserved it. If  Gomez or matip(yes even him) where on instead of Loveren then it’s at least a draw. Still 4 up but it’s how the players respond that dictates the rest of the season.

VVD done same tackle against Napoli and according to Pool fans it was fine. Liverpool have got their fair share of referee calls in recent weeks including diving and grabbing a player around the throat so can't blame the referee when it suits.

Itchy has a good summary. Down caught a lot under new rules. Cavan once on passes and once on sideline. Also had a 13 minute sin bin. Cadden was best of newcomers but he has the physicality so helps. Raymond Galligan was brilliant and deserved MOTM with his skills from play excellent too. Yeah noticed Moynagh much more lean and covered every blade of grass. Argue done well too at midfield.
