I nearly had this app in the WTF thread a while ago but decided not to be a grumpy old man for once.  I don't get the appeal.

Why is Trump looking to ban it though? Is it another Huawei, stealing our info but Samsung, Google and Apple aren't, situation?

That reliable outlet The Sun stated that Villa are in for him.  Celtic want 40m but Villa are confident they can get him for lower than that.  Their words...

Either way, rumours were defo heating up yesterday.  I see this as a similar situation as Grealish.  The owning club needs a cut off date when they will no longer entertain the idea at any cost.

Newcastle looks to have had a breakout here with many of the shops closing because staff have tested positive.  Supervalu and now Kent Amusements.  I was actually up in the town briefly on Sunday as I went for a walk in the Mournes.  It was absolutely packed...

I enjoyed the end to the season, being kept interested in the relegation scrap. But yes I can see that many games were damp squibs.

I expect they will carry on regardless as there is money to be made.  That seems to be the trend in most places now with regards to the virus.

Interested to see how Leeds and Bielsa get on.

The next 3 weeks will be a very busy time in terms of transfers. Wouldn't like to predict anything until the cash has been splashed by most of the teams.

David McWilliams just did a quality wee podcast episode on him.  Credit Union gets a mention.  Very interesting stuff.

He was being a bit cheeky going out that far and Bryan took advantage. Fulham got home 2-1 in the end and will be in the premier league next year.

Fulham it is then.  Perhaps the playoffs final experience helped them.  Brentford could be raided a little as some of their players are in big demand by lower PL clubs.  Watkins and Benrahma would be high on a few lists.

The new series of Last Chance U has arrived on Netflix.  New team, new coaches and an inner city team this year from Oakland.  I have only watched 2 of the new series but it continues to be a great watch.  This new coach seems to be another character.

Amazing to see the lengths that the players/students go to, when also faced with society problems, family problems and this year, work problems.

The great escape for Villa! I didn't see this happening at all before the Palace game.  Delighted, but by god there were some hairy moments over the last few games.

Gonna be a very busy month for all the teams now to be prepared for the new season.

A huge win for Villa, apparently they hadn't won any of their last 17 Premier league home games v Arsenal.

it's been so long that Arsenal's last defeat at Villa Park was the Giggs FA Cup semi final in '99!
Villa beat Arsenal 3-2 in December 1998, having been 0-2 down at half time. A santa claus parachuted in at half time, clipped the edge of the stand and almost died. Villa went top that day, but finished 6th in the end. Will always have the "most points in the calendar year 1998 trophy" though.

I remember that game well.  Dublin with a couple.  I was young and foolish enough to think they could make a run at the league that year.

Couldn't have hoped for better results last night.  Even to still be in with a chance on the last day looked very unlikely a few weeks ago.

Tbf every club is the same, so short sighted.
My young fellow quit at 15 fed up  wasting his time and he wasnít a bad footballer.
Reality is same 16/17 played week in week out for 6 years
Club came to him last week as they are now struggling for numbers in his age group
I let him decide.
He told them where to go.
Thatís bitter sweet.  An awful lot could be learned from that tale.

It could, but is there a range of people stepping forward to manage the Go games?

Loads would do it. I have done it. But some of the shit that goes on would make you throw up.

I got a shit load of abuse refereeing a game at our under 8 blitz last year. Apparently I didn't blow up a player for taking 2 touches in a move that led to a score. I made the losing team go home very unhappy according to the coach. I apologised saying its just a bit of fun sure,  a run out for them. Not according to coach. His team had a good chance of winning the shield says he. Anyway.

At under EIGHTS?! Are you serious? Must make the other half promise to not let me turn into one of these people when we've kids that age.

Ah it can be nuts at times.  Banning the parents entering the field last year was a great step but some coaches are of course over the top too.  I would have to say in my experience that is the exception rather than the rule.  Most are just Gaels trying to do their best for their club.

Congrats to the Leeds men.  Long suffering.  Will be a great addition to the PL.

Noticed that there is a new series of Last Chance U started at the end of July on Netflix.  Great show.  Hope for more of the same with this new team and coaching staff.
