New Orleans are the team to beat in the NFC but it will take a good team to beat da Bears. Unfortunately a couple of poor losses like last week to the Giants will probably mean they're on the road in the playoffs because they'd be awful hard to beat in Soldier Field. Trubisky was making progress before his injury so I'd expect him to impove on last night. Goff isn't a brilliant QB but is the poster boy for what a top class coach can do.

Saints were very poor in the first half yesterday, in particular Brees.  The running game finally seemed to kick the offence into gear in the second half but overall it wasnt an impressive performance. Stuttering a little.

Rams losing was a nice bonus.

Was Gronk on the defense as protection for the hail mary? Man turned like a bus.

Wee lad wants Santa to get him a set for the PS4, needs a mic though and I'd prefer blue tooth as he pulls the shite out of the cable ones?

Any recommendations in the £20 to £30 range?

Our fella got a set for the ps4. he also is the the kind of guy who cant sit still but thankfully the wire plugs into the controller and not the ps4.

That is true also, so a cabled pair might suffice. what did you buy?

Almost sure he has these ones https://www.argos.co.uk/product/8063465

Ive had kitsound arenas before and although they are ok, they certainly arent fantastic.

About 8 months ago i got a pair of Bose QC35 IIs and they are one of the best pieces of technology i've ever bought. I use them for commuting etc but ive never taken them on a run so cant comment on that. Cant see it being a problem though.

I'm sure slaughtneil etc did it too but we just didnt get the twitter videos so easily from high profile players. It's great to have a small insight into the celebrations. That's what club GAA is all about for me. The players who have slogged all year getting to go on the rip together and celebrate their success as a community! The game is becoming far too serious without removing this craic!!

FFS have i missed the real video!? Joe will get a bit of "banter" over it and it'll be a bit of a laugh. That's about it.

On a side note, there are absolute ballbags everywhere, videoing sh*te like that.

Dan Crowley is worth a look at too. Might be able to provide the creativity that the side lacks.  Doing good things at Willem II.

U23 is Olympic team, LoI selection. I assume you mean U21?

Wpuld be the second Cavanman to play for the senior team if he made it.

Meath, Offally, Carlow, Tyrone and Leitrim are the only ones to not have produced an Ireland player.

U23 is the reserves for English League sides now. Jake Doyle Hayes starts most games for Villa at this level. Was on thr bench last week for first team v Nottingham Forest.

Dean Smith is the right man for his development.

I guess winning All-Irelands takes precedence.

They've produced for Norn Iron ok.

Looking forward to the Boston Globe podcast series on Aaron Hernandez. Done by the Spotlight team so should be great. One of them was on Second Captains about it today and it sounds great.

It was excellent. A real insight into the development process in the sport. He was a troubled young man. It also looks a bit at the effects of CTE. Brilliant podcast.

Under a proper style of football Scott Hogan would be an asset to the Ireland team and would get goals. The kicking the ball long into the channels style is not his game. Not sure this will change under McCarthy either though.

I'd have a bit of hope that young Jake Doyle Hayes at Villa will turn in to a good international.  He is only 19 and looks such a comfortable midfielder. He is very close to getting starts in the first team and has captained the under 23s i believe.

Dropped the Jags defence for this game week. Of course i did.

Theres something odd looking about the sleeves on that Armagh jersey

An ex-Uni mate from Lurgan was asked to design the Armagh 2002 Jersey.  He studied design but never clothing but did it for the few quid on offer anyway.  That's why the sleeves came half way down the fore-arms.   We use to rib him whenever anyone came into the pub wearing one and his defence was "I design toasters and kettles not feckin clothing!"  ;D

Feck i hated the sleeves on that top.
