GAA Discussion / Re: McKenna Cup 2019

Interesting overhearing a couple of neutrals in Armagh last night, the McKenna Cup is now as prestigious as the Ulster Championship itself.

Victoria Bar and Hole in the Wall probably the only 2, with honourable mentions to the British Legion & Cricket Club.

I was driving through armagh and saw the limerick football team piled into Victoria bar one night after playing Tyrone up in omagh in a backdoor game a few years back. Gave me a good laugh.

They sung a Cranberries tune rather than SeŠn South.

Tyrone have been in every final this decade so they are fair favorites.

Granted Armagh have had a tougher route to the this yearís decider and have home advantage, but Tyroneís McKenna Cup record is so strong.

Another niggly squad injury though. Not what's needed for title-chasers.

McGeeney would have numerous job offers every winter, so itís s testament to his loyalty that he has stayed with Armagh to finish the job.

Does anyone think Liverpool might pick up a defender in the transfer window? Injuries are beginning to mount up back there.

Not really the Klopp thing (unless he is picking up a dual threat player like caulker). By the sounds of it Gomez and Matip are back soon.

No harm in picking up an experienced Premier League defender for the run-in. Guys like Scott Dann, Ryan Shawcross or Jamaal Lascelles would have done the job in the Wolves match.

Swings & roundabouts. Refs will think twice when the Egyptian Pharaoh next tumbles in the box.

I'd guess this is a well coordinated climate change protest. To keep an airport closed this long it is a well planned attack.

Can't see it being one guy doing it for the craic anyway.

Never knew so many people used Gatwick, I find it well out of the way.
