I'm trying to decide whether or not to get up at 5:30 am this Sunday morning, here, to watch the Leinster Club Senior Hurling Final. Will it be a crackin' match or will it be a score of doe-eyed lads running head-long into a buzz saw?

Mossy it will be worth getting up at that time just to see TJ Reid in action

A great display from R/E. Great game for this time of the year

They will be bitterly disappointed with the way it ended but they have had a fantastic year and represented the county with honesty and hard work and great hurling. They are a joy to watch and to see a game from start to finish with not one dirty stroke is a testament to 2 great teams .

Best of luck to St Mullins in the final.

I think the final is going to be very close and will possibly come down to which free taker is on top form on the day

How on earth did he not get in the faces of some of the snapchat heroes from last year after the final whistle?! He's a bigger man than the whole lot of them put together.

Commendable restraint shown by him all right for once, one of the good guys proved that revenge is a dish best served cold

Experience or not his management, selection process and training methods for the last 3 years have been nothing short of a disgrace. There's a clear club bias from people I've talked in the know.
Hopefully Derek mcgrath will change that and be allowed to fulfill the roll without the parochial bullshit that goes on in this county.

What's in this for McGrath ? Would this not be a step down for him ?

This parochial bullshit has been going on a while and the lack of trials going on a few years now and nothing done about it

The county board need to get their act together.  There is no point in bringing in big names if the same people are running things the way they want it and not how it should be .

Is Paudie Maher ok lads? He took an awful clatter I’d say, the poor owl divil.

I'd imagine he'll be out for the final !

What a great day for Laois. What stood out for me was the growth in confidence of this team.

The amount of goals scored this year was great to see.
Eddie Brennan has brought a sense of belief to this team and long may it continue

I'd be inclined to general pessimism meself, but there's a terrible lot of negativity about.

Hard to be positive to be fair. Leigh Bergin gone. Dwayne Palmer gone. Ross King gone.
It's not a great sign to be losing this many lads .
Can understand King going but whats the story with the other 2 ?

I thought yesterday that some of the younger lads stood up well but 1 or 2 of the "bigger names" were so disappointing . Their work rate was shocking.

Laois' loss and shame on the County Board.

What's the story with Mark Kavanagh ?

Apologies Ryan is out as he is doing his final Law exams. Seemingly not hurling with the club until Champ. King is back though

Surprised to hear Ross King is back . Fair play to him if he is. Bigger man than all the Count Board cowards put together

A lot of Camross players found out over the weekend,
Dean Delaney -  non existent
 Tomas Burke - Nothing
 Collier midfield - passenger
and even Joe Phelan - looked poor for a county corner back.

Seemed reluctant to go short with puckouts even though NE had dropped very deep, best performers were Zane and big Lorcan Burke wing back. .. How Conor McDonald was left 1v1 in 20 yards of space for 40 mins is anyones guess.

The reality is that in the county final if they didn't adopt dirty tactics there were in trouble and they knew it.

I still think if the incident hadn't happened R/E would have beaten them

Bye bue camross ...i dont think anyone cares
Disappointed to see them lose yesterday, would have liked to see them get a run out against Ballyhale.

Camross got decent start but Naomh Eanna absolutely blitzed them. Could have had another 2-3 goals Goalie save on Dean Delaney before HT would have brought it closer but camross had too much to do 2nd half. No 8 at midlfield carried a fair amount of ball and did good bit of damage. Very wrists hurlers spread ball around fairly well. Will give Ballyhale a decent game I’d say.
How did the tooth fairy play?

Didn’t get a run. On the bench.
Oh well, he did his work for the year I suppose

And from comments on Social Media even up to last night they seem to find it hard to get that people dislike the way they went about the win and not the actual win itself !

Strange seen as he was the hero in the county final.

I'd imagine Camross happy enough to be the big fish in the small pond.

Shame on Scully for bringing this man into it.

clean up your own club 1st Scully.  Childish carry on and tweeting it to Joe.ie / Independent etc as if they's be interest in an old news story.

Dont know what he thought he'd achieve by this
You think he was trying to affect Parkinsons employment?

God only knows what Scully was at ! I don't know enough on Parkinson to comment in fairness but thought it was a cheap shot
