Hadnít far to travel today for the championship game with Derry, game called off, Iím hearing from v good sources it was because Antrim hadnít lined the pitch, only flags put out, surface was fine. If this is true and I had no reason to doubt my source, like wtf is going on, seriously wtf???

I was told this as well from a ref. How embarrassing, if true surely Antrim shouldn't get playing in the rescheduled game. The pitch was playable on Saturday
Lads, when was the last time any of you lined a pitch.

Thanks.  I saw them in Croke Park.  They were a good team but I think they got mullered by David Clifford.

Did that Derry side reach an All Ireland minor final?

Brandon Lewis says ďthere will be no border in the Irish SeaĒ (RTE News).  Their handshake isnít worth much.

Anything Iíve heard Lenny say, his strategy is pretty simple.  Get promoted, player at a higher level which will improve the players decision making, and that will make us more competitive in the Championship.
Bringing Michael and Paddy C boosts our promotion chances.  They helped us get to Div 2 not too long ago.  Makes sense and they young lads can learn from them.

Weíve a long way to fall yet, they were talking today on Talk Sport about Premier League teams charging families £750 so their child could be a mascot on match day.  Thought that stank to high heaven.

I donít have a big problem with GAa making a profit - just re-invest it wisely, preferably at club level.  There would be massive demand for a simple grant process for 10-20k improvement projects.

The bigger picture is full of problems.  For example here in Ulster there are plenty of staff on the payroll but the end product very often (not always) is literally sickening itís so negative.

19 Independents elected so far.  Is that not a bit of a cop out, for the most part just electing someone whoíll get you a wee motorway or a new school in your backyard.  Democratic it solves little or nothing for the country.

in the North pretty much every major decision which would have required a bit of balls was kicked to touch by SF or DUP, or both.  Tin pot operation anyway with the only taxes raised being rates and carrier bag levy and you can always blame British austerity if youíre getting it tight.  Going into sovereign government in the Republic will be a much bigger test for SF.

Well done everyone.  Would be great to see a promotion push, and would that mean a day in Croke Park?  I hope the games are played in Glenavy.  Great wee spot and friendly stewards.

Yer woman on tv saying Fine Gael and Fianna FŠil are like two bald men left arguing over a comb.  Was a good one.

The state of that ref in the Tyrone game.  Anyone who thinks we shouldnít have an opinion on refs can feck off.  Complete amateur, out of his depth.

Pretty damn good.  Why are we so lifeless in World Cups?  Bullied Wales at times which is a rare thing.  Conway was in the zone.

Discussion about how to prepare for a new Ireland very much absent in the RTE debate.  Not even SF could weave it in.  The only mentions of the North were about the dirty war and high levels of homelessness.  Being included didnít give SF any further bounce in my opinion. Might actually hurt them as the old doubts wonít go away.  And they hadnít costed one of their manifesto commitments, think it was in electric car infrastructure, never a good look.

Great opening 15 minutes, then Wexford upped their intensity for a while and we stalled a bit, but great start again to second half pushed us through.  Goals win games and we got three.  Big McCann did everything right in full forward.  Hope we use him to the max.  Early ball and heíll cause panic in most defences. Not sure how good or poor Wexford are, but we look like we could give promotion a rattle, especially if we back it up next week in Sligo.
