France are deserving winners in the end. They made the most of their luck in this game though. This game wasn't a classic it was all about the errors really. Getting the own goal and an accidental penalty set up the win.

Clare got the better of Wexford today 0-27 to 1-17. That puts Clare into the Croke Park semi final for the first time since 2013. It will be Galway up next which will be tough for Clare.

50 games in the final set of the Anderson Isner semi final before Anderson came out on top. Amazing stuff.

Nadal and Djokovic could be a long match too.

That was a big relief in the end. Things looked bleak in the first half when England took an early lead and held onto it easily. However the longer the game went on the more the passing of the Croats took over. After the first Croat goal there was only going to be one winner.

Liverpool should be on to Shamrock Rovers about their young keeper. Get him young and cheap.

Going on that display England wouldn't score against the French from open play in a month of sundays. Set pieces are a different matter but they kept out the big Belgians easily enough. The English ploy of lining up 4 in a row in the middle of the penalty area has been seen enough now and will be prepared for by the French. Where are the goals going to come from for England?

England will have to answer the same questions against Croatia first.

They obviously love it and while the Dunlops have lost a lot they have also gained so much from racing bikes. Fame, money etc.

I say ban it. Human life is too important.

All that talk about height advantage for Belgium and Brazil nearly score from their first two corners.

Maybe Belgium will win. They have a big height advantage over Brazil which could be exploited from set pieces.

Belgium v Brazil should be the game of the tournament. So much talent on both sides.

Has anyone else noticed that a lot of the yobbo England fans have stayed home from this world cup after the battering they received from the Russians in France. They are missing out on all the fun. There has been no reported trouble from anyone at this tournament.

Sweden are a very dour team. Organised certainly, but dreadfully dour.

Lovers of the beautiful game such as myself will certainly be supporting England.

I like the World Cup final to be between two of the great powers of the game. For that to happen this time, England have to be involved.

An England v Brazil final is an absolutely mouthwatering prospect.

This England team are also a very likeable bunch of chaps indeed.

You maybe didn't see the Sweden v Switzerland game today where Sweden made more chances in their 90 minute game than England did in 120 minutes. So lovers of the beautiful game will be more likely to support Sweden.
