Imagine if Liverpool had had Allison for the past three seasons, fully fit all the time?

No Karius in Kiev.

No Adrian gifting a reeling Atletico a decisive goal out of nothing in extra time.

Could be going for three in row, COVID notwithstanding. Small margins! :)

Atletico won both games in fairness.

Liverpool were well on top and likely going to win the tie until Adrian's mistake.

Atletico would have had to come out, having spent the game camped in their own box, to get back in the game. Instead, Adrian took care of that within a few minutes, and they were then able to pick off a tired Liverpool on the break.
Virgil van Dijk: "We played fantastic for the first 95 minutes, but unfortunately things like this happen. We were not tired at all."

Maybe demoralized then. Because Liverpool didn't really threaten at all after the Adrian error and the second half of extra time was a non-event, with the only question being whether Atletico would score again to win on the night.

In fairness Athletico lost the second 90 minutes 1-0. They did well in extra time though after Adrian got them into the game. Liverpool were the better team by a long way but Athletico took  advantage of Liverpool mistakes in both legs to win the tie. Athletico won't be winning the champions league this year.

That Milan team was some team as well a team of superstars at their peak with their only weak link being maybe the goalie Dida. How we got through it I don't know.

Did anyone else ever notice when rewatching it an ambulance going past behind the goals when Milan were taking one of their penalties?

What about scrapping the leaving cert this year? They should have gone ahead with the exams at the normal time. Giving out results based on mock exams etc is not a fair way of doing things at all. I know my leaving cert results were based on work done after the mocks so I am glad this years system did not apply to me.

Leo has finally recommended the wearing of face coverings on busy public transport and in busy enclosed areas such as shops. Out of interest how many on here have worn face coverings while in busy shops?

I haven't and I wont be either. Expert advice up to last week said masks are not advised and now suddenly they are. It's to do with giving people a warm fuzzy sense of security. I'll be visiting shops at quiet times with no mask as that is the safest way to proceed.

The safest for whom?

I have started wearing a mask when out for a walk and will wear it to the shops tomorrow. It is all about not spreading the disease. If everone wears a mask the disease can not spread. Everyone should wear a mask especially on public transport and in shops etc. It will be one of the keys to easing the lockdown and getting back to work.

So the season can't be declared null and void according to the FA. There must be relegation and promotion decided on sporting merit. That means liverpool are almost certain to become champions whether games are played or not.

Every trans man thinks they are a woman but they're not. They are men. It is easier on them and all concerned to treat them as men with a defect.

Look at Bruce Jenner. He was the olympic decathalon champion. He had 6 biological kids. I think all of them were models. The man was closer to being king of the heterosexual men than a lady. Something went wrong. He thought he was a woman and a doctor castrated him. This is not a solution it is closer to the final solution. Thinking you are a woman does not make you one. Bruce changed mentally from a man to a woman. He might just have easily changed his mind to change back to a man.

There is no way sex change doctors or doctor who help kids change with hormones should be let near kids

The bundesliga is going to kick off on the 15th of May but we have  to wait until October for a  behind closed doors game of hurling. It doesn't seem right. Surely GAA can return sooner.

I see Aguero saying he doesn't really want to play. Who else doesn't want to play.

The draft is going along expected lines up to pick 6. Quarter back Joe Burrow going first to the Bengals. QB Tua Tagovailoa going to the Dolphins at 5 and qb Justin Herbert going to the Chargers at 6.

That is a big deal pulled off by the Bucs. They are genuine superbowl contenders now.

Staying with the NFL, the first round of the draft is on thursday night/friday morning. It will be the only sport of interest to be broadcast in the near future. I am really looking forward to it as the vikings have 2 first round picks.

I don't drink any more. I gave up before I had to and don't miss it. I was only ever a social drinker and never drank at home.

Vonn Miller the Broncos pass rusher has tested positive for corona virus. I am sure he will be fine.

edit: Just reading that Miller has asthma which might complicate matters.
