How many of the Mayo old guard are still actually involved?
No one really knows Angelo and i dont think we will know what Horan is thinking until the Roscommon game if we get that far.The team selections so far have been strange.Irs hard to see Aido been left at ff if we are losing midfield as badly as we did on sunday.Loftus is not an inter county midfielder IMO.

No one really knows Angelo.

Mayo team named.

1. David Clarke - Ballina Stephenites
2. Oisín Mullin - Kilmaine
3. David McBrien - Ballaghaderreen
4. Lee Keegan - Westport
5. Patrick Durcan - Castlebar Mitchels
6. Stephen Coen - Hollymount/Carramore
7. Eoghan McLaughlin - Westport
8. Matthew Ruane – Breaffy
9. Conor Loftus - Crossmolina Deel Rovers
10. Fionn McDonagh - Westport
11. Mark Moran - Westport
12. Diarmuid O’Connor - Ballintubber
13. Tommy Conroy - The Neale
14. Aidan O’Shea - Breaffy (C)
15. Cillian O’Connor - Ballintubber

A very surprising team.More like an fbd team in january to be honest.Looks like Horan has given up on the league.
Oisín Mullin is a cracking player. Tommy Conroy also has the potential to make a big impact.
Two big pluses for ye since last year

Oisín is unproven as of yet and t c at this present moment wouldn’t make the Galway third choice team . We are doomed going forward anyone that thinks otherwise is kidding themselves. Tomorrow night when we are relegated you’ll have a positive spin put on it by ejits who don’t realise why mayo have been competitive the lastb20 odd years

While im glad to see Oisin Mullen and Tommy Conroy in there thats a very dissapointing team to be sending into a must win game against one of our biggest rivals. Some of the players on that team havent played well in years and some of them have had umpteen chances and just dont look up to it.I can understand not putting in some of the older guard but the likes Of the 2 O Donoghues Padraig O Hora James Carr and Darren Coen should be in here IMO.Going by the club championship some of our more established players have faded and shouldnt be guaranteed starters anymore.Maybe its a dummy team but i doubt it

A cop in Britain spoke today of examining shoppers' supermarket trollies to ensure they weren't buying anything non-essential.

How that aids the greater societal good is beyond me.

Its a pity they wouldnt start doing that here.I work in a supermarket whats happening would sicken ya.People coming in for a few bits 2 or 3 times every day >:( >:(

There is probably a good chance that it will be lifted a bit down the line and then be reinstated when a new cycle of infections starts.

China will be a test run.

This is what I'm hearing through my job. It will be on and off for a year or so.

Until the vaccine is available, basically.

Hopefully it wont be too far away...Not spending time with the family no gym no pub no football my God when we get through this we will have a new appreciation on all the great things we took for granted.

When its lifted do ye think Matches will go ahead with big crowds?? Will pubs restaurants be open but with restrictions numbers wise???

The lockdown won't last 6 months, but some of the social distancing might. So most shops will be open etc but packing people in, queues etc will not be allowed.

Thats not a bad thing for me as our workplace is like a cattlemart on most days.

How long do ye reckon all this social distancing will last?? Im still working away in 1 of the large supermarkets so im lucky enough i still have a wage coming in although myself and others have had to fight hard for some measures to protect us while at work. Some are saying 6 weeks and others are saying 6 months.???

Is Mass cancelled yet?

yes, more or less.
Funerals and weddings can still proceed with less than 100 people and separation in the church.

Parishes encouraged to exploit electronic means.

Not true.I know of 2 weddings taking place over the weekend with far more than 100 people attending and both are still going ahead as planned

The Irish government and the HSE response to this whole thing has been nothing short of a disgrace. Having taken Friday off work due to flu like symptoms i went on to the hse website to get info about the coronavirus. The website states that if you have any symptoms call your gp do not go to your gp as you may need to self isolate. So i called my gp only to be told i have to ring a hse coronavirus helpline and they will assess me and talk me through appropriate next steps. So after waiting on hold for almost an hour i eventually get through to an operator whos first advice was to check the hse website. After explaining that i had checked the website and phoned my gp only to be sent here the operator told me it was PROBABLY just a head cold or the seasonal flu.Just to put this into context im 32 reasonably fit and healthy with no underlying health problems that i know of.Im fairly sure if i contracted the coronavirus my immune system could fight it off but trying to be a responsible adult i dont want to pass this on to anyone else.So as my frustration grew with this operator telling me it was again PROBABLY just a cold or flu i asked what qualified her to give me such advice???After refusing to answer my question she told me hse guidelines state im PROBABLY not infected and i can continue going about my day to day business.Im sure my case isnt unique and for all i know some civil servant with no medical training is giving me advice about my health....Its a joke of a set up

Overall Record - Played 107 Won 86 Lost 11 Drew 10

Kerry have a chance of challenging the dominance. I didn't think that before the final but I do now.

Dublin will also be a lot worse off when Gavin goes.

Are Kerry really that far ahead of Tyrone Donegal Mayo that they are going to seriously challenge Dublin??? Lets be realistic here if Cooper wasnt red carded in the drawn game Dublin would have won pulling up.While Kerry have some outstanding players the replay showed the gap between dublin and the rest is only getting bigger.Kerry may be the best of the rest but theres a big difference between that and challenging Dublin.

I think we’ll get goal chances like we did against Donegal but we’ll need to take them if we’re to win. We had 4 good chances from play against Donegal  and I think one came off the post and two went over. The other went wide I think.

100% you will get goal chances.Horans Mayo remind me of Kevin Keegans Newcastle team of the 90s.Whatever you score we will score more.Unfortunately when you come up against forwards Like Clifford Murphy or Brogan on a big day that tactic is as useful as tits on a bull.I said on an earlier topic Horan was a poor coach well sunday compounded my view by a thousand.I wont be one bit surprised if Meath beat us sunday and score 2 or more goals in the process. But true to form as Horan stares at the ground when his team is crying out for a change Horan will have his excuses ready. In 2012 it was the county boards fault he left Murphy 1 on 1 on the edge of the square. In 2013 it was the fans fault for not making enough noise as he made a series of catastrophic errors. In 2014 it was the loss of Aido and Cillian to a head injury that made him leave Donaghy all alone to have the time of his life in front of our goal....The county board ran Rochford for this shite. We were told Horan has learned....He has learnes sweet fcuk all
