is the club game  becoming too predictable aswell

Few would have predicted that Corofin would need extra time to win but well done to them, like Dublin in 2016, 2019 took their time and got the job done eventually.

Expected result and deserved win for Liverpool but i most certainly didn't expect United to be pushing hard in injury time for a leveler only to concede a goal with truly awful defending. Martial probably had United best chance 2nd half and more often of not he scores chances like that.

Is Rashford out for 3 months?

Yes worst possible news for Uniteds top 4 chances.

Quote
Rashford has a single fracture in His back before wolves and now has a double fracture.

He also has a floating bone in his ankle which will require surgery.

Out 2/3 months.

United started off all right and then conceded a goal from yet another lapse in concentration on a set piece. Correct call to disallow that 2nd goal as DeGea was fouled.  United have probably missed their best chance of scoring with Pereira missing that sitter. I'd still be surprised if this game doesn't finish in a 2 or 3-0 defeat.

I wonder what was the odds for 13 scoreless minutes?

Will be a big surprise if United aren't beaten at least 2 or 3-0 this afternoon, losing Rashford to injury has made a weak line up even weaker. Liverpool are a side that feed off errors and United an error prone side.  If beaten as expected at least United will remain 5th and 5 points off 4th.

Jesus Joe really gets under the skin of men here lads. I've met him a few times, in a footballing capacity I thought he was sound.

TV is TV. He's playing a character, something he openly admits. Sometimes he irritates me, sometimes I actually agree with him but I don't think he's worth 300 odd pages of back and forth.

That character was a RTÉ created gimmick and they gave him the boot after numerous warnings to tone it down. The same gimmick is played out on his newspaper columns which includes a load of made up stories and no doubt he'll use that same worn out gimmick on Eir sports where his followers as consumed as those that follow Donald Trump will lap it up as entertainment.

Hard earned and deserved win. A win against a decent side and keeping a clean sheet against them which doesn't happen enough for United nowadays. Rashford grabbed the headlines by making an impact when introduced and then had to go off injured. If its serious injury that win will come at a big cost, Ole can't seem to buy a break with injuries.

Joe being shown up for what he is. No integrity at all. The poor wee old men lying up in the hospital beds will be devastated. I really did not think he would do it.
Has to find some way of keeping himself relevant.

That’s exactly what it’s all about.

It’s still interesting to hear his opinion. He might talk sh1te at times but he’s entertaining.

In what way is he entertaining? I don't class attention seeking as entertainment.

Kerry were out of sight after about 15 mins against Mayo, Dublin had their game won in the 37th minute once O’Callaghan scored the goal. Roscommon put Mayo out of Connacht.

In 2018 Galway beat them in Connacht and then Kildare put them out in the qualifiers.

What exactly are people basing Mayo not regressing on? Beating an underperforming Donegal in poor weather at home?

Dublin also had the replayed all Ireland won after 35 minutes, once Murchan got the goal. Mayo were poor throughout 2018, no denying that, but were much improved in 2019 across league and championship. That doesn't signal regression IMO.

Donegal went 2 points up against Mayo after 2 minutes last year. That is hardly an underperforming team? They also came into the game in brilliant form after playing Kerry in Croke Park. That game was also played in poor weather although I'm not sure what significance that has?

Much improved in the league certainly, went from just about staying up to winning the league. Championship from 3rd round exit to semi final appearance a improvement also but was some of performances a big improvement? For example at home to Armagh was not a lot different than the performance v kildare in 2018. Long stages of the Meath game in Croke Park wasn't great either. I'm thinking Mayo will need to win Connacht this summer to reach the semi final again as if they don't they could find themselves in the same super 8 group as Dublin, Kerry.

Anyway back to the thread topic. Another Galway v Roscommon final which should be intriguing contest.

Routine win against the worst team in the league. Williams certainly the best left back option but at his age he can't be overplayed. DeGea only had one save to make and important one at 1-0.

Mata, Matic looked good against a poor side yet they still can't be trusted against any decent side. Bruno Fernandes is strongly linked and would be a good addition.

19 goals and 5 assists playing most from the left wing for Rashford now in comparison Lukaku only managed 15 goals in 45 appearances for United last season playing as a striker.

Will be interesting to see how strong of a team will be picked for the FA Cup replay on Wednesday.

Donegal pull out of semi

If they are so short on numbers why didn't they do this again? https://www.bbc.com/sport/gaelic-games/38497207

Galway team for the weekend as per GAA.ie's Cian O'Connell:
C Gleeson
C Murray
G O’Donnell
J Heaney
E Brannigan
J Daly
C McDaid
T Flynn
F O Curraoin
P Kelly
M Daly
M Boyle
A Varley
S Walsh
P Conroy

Experienced line up for a FBD game. I think 11 of that team has played in Connacht senior finals

Trailer have a little cop on will you.

As for the 2nd half at least it was won 1-0 but doesn't disguise the 1st half where this tie is as good as done before the 2nd leg.
