Dammit this game needed an early Watford goal.

Missed sitter. They may only get another chance like that

Ederson to be fair read the situation well and is one of the best keepers to save with his feet. Why wasn't the Watford penalty appeal even looked at by VAR?

It was, they said on commentary

Ok fair enough, i muted the commentary as soon as i heard Robbie Savage.

Why not turn it to BBC1?
Switched over for the second half. Some impact De Bruyne made in that 2nd half, they will only be better next season if they can keep him fit.

Can someone fill me in on what first choice players Monaghan will be missing for this game?  Looks to be a good balance to that Cavan team with arguably their best players played in core positions in the team.

Admission prices from Ros/Rhubarbs €5 higher than Sligo/Galway >:(.
Both games are semi finals.

35 euro on the day for a stand ticket for a provincial semi final. The Connacht GAA would need to cop themselves on.

They have to make up for the short fall in takings at other venues. Mayo followers don't mind paying the extra bit. For Mayo fans it's all about the journey and showing support for their team to think otherwise would be “divisive and mean-spirited”.

Your style of posting has become repetitive.

So it's Galway, Sligo and Mayowestros for the top 3 it seems.

Looks that way and Leitrim v Roscommon for the B final if it's played (wasn't last year)

London conceded on average 13 points per game in the league this spring, they were clearly working on a defensive system and maybe Kevin Walsh didn't do his homework on them? Sligo are coming into Sunday's game off the back of 7 league defeats where they have conceded on average 20 points per game.  All logic points to a more comfortable win for Galway this weekend than it was in Ruislip.

Farrandeelin can change the thread title to 2019

Minor (U17)

First round on this Friday at 730pm

Leitrim v Mayo  in Ballinamore
Roscommon v Galway  Hyde Park

Looks like a competitive championship with Sligo apparently much improved from last year. Mayo,Galway will be strong and Roscommon should be decent with some schools success. Leitrim will find it tough to win any game.

did Woodward bow to the public clamour and appoint OGS too early? If he had stuck to his guns and waited to the end of the season would they have appointed him? I think not given the end to the season. but hope springs eternal.

Not a chance! Complete madness to give him the job in the first place. He got a bit of a bounce that all new managers get and a very lucky win against PSG.
His managerial record shows nothing that would suggest he's up to the job of managing a club like United. He'll be gone by March next season and the merry go round will continue.
If anyone at United had any sense they would call an end to it now and go after Poch.

Poch with a stronger panel and players playing to their potential only finished the league season 5 points ahead of United and United have been a total shambles August to December and for the last two months.

Best thing Poch has done is leading Spurs to the CL final and the wins v Man City,Ajax on route to that final was every bit as lucky as United's win v PSG.

Lloris has made more mistakes this season than in all previous years combined.

Trippier has had a horrible season.
Rose only got his place back properly after Xmas.
Toby was out of favour for a while.
Jan has become injury prone.

Winks has missed half the season with injuries.
Dier has missed two thirds of the season with injuries
Wanyama has missed two thirds of the season with injuries.

Alli has missed half the season with injuries.
Kane has missed half the season with injuries.
Son missed a quarter of the season with internationals.

The only Spurs players who consistently played to form this season were Sissoko, Son and Vertonghen. Eriksen was solid all season without being spectacular.

There’s more improvement to come from Spurs’s squad than Man Utd’s.
United's squad has only performed for about 2 months this season, loads of injuries and players such as DeGea totally under performing. Any decent improvement next season should get them up to about 74 -76 points IMO.

5 season of Poch with Spurs now. First two seasons finished with 64 and 70 points 3rd season was overachieving one and they have regressed in the league the last two seasons with less points and 20 plus points off the champions. I don't see much improvement with Spurs next season they will probably draw more games and not lose 13 matches again but will likely require marquee signing or two to get close to a title challenge.

The Irish times has zero coverage of the Joe McDonagh.

Independent is the only paper that seems to delve into the lower tiers of hurling at all.
I don't think the IT has the money , actually

They have plenty of money. Some of the highest paid journalists in Ireland works with Irish times and guest columnists are well paid for their views also.
