Anyone else think that the closure of “wet” pubs means the opening of house party central?

No.

Most in my local haven’t been to a house party in 30 years. A few wakes spilled over into something else but generally we don’t read the will until a few days after the funeral now

Surely this should be left for the citizen’s assembly?

Valéry Giscard d’Estaing, former president of France

Pat Patterson of WWE fame. First intercontinental champion and inventer of the Royal rumble.

Christ the man isn’t long dead and you are throwing that at him??

He probably did good things in his life as well.

Let him rest

This is where Angelo sets out his master plan together with analysis of intended and unintended consequences.

If he has specific concerns on this virus what are they and what would make them go away?
What measures should society take in the interim?
What will the impact on the economy be?
What level of economic damage would be an acceptable price for that?
What would be the acceptable level of Covid deaths whilst the reassurance comes?

Before Angelo says he has answered this already he should probably reread this and related threads.

Before Angelo labels anyone a nazi he should reflect that asking questions does not a nazi make

Good man. Plenty of insults.
Lads like you will ensure the 26 Co electorate won't vote for a UI.

A big question as to whether Sinn Fein have the discipline to run a referendum campaign.

Once you get to see “West Brit” or “quisling” in the southern debate you are kissing goodbye to any chance of convincing moderates north or south.

Also there will have to be a serious economic debate. The details of which will be poured over. Sinn Fein have already shown the that they will use flimsy data. That is going to get ripped apart in a proper debate. They would have to up their game massively

A circuit breaker in the middle of a circuit breaker

Where are you getting that from? A circuit breaker announced from 27/11. Which other circuit breaker is that in the middle of?

Angelo do you think that if you get Covid that you’ll be fine?

Don't intend on getting it but my demograph doesn't seem to be impact greatly by it.

And that is how it works.

What about anyone you pass it on to. Should they get a vaccine?

I don't intend on getting Covid.

People should make their own conscionable choice on whether they get the vaccine or not.

Angelo lives in a wacko jacko bubble

We are great when the pressure is off as usual. We actually coughed up points all over the place which is very worrying for Wales. How the hell have they collapsed so much in a year.

New management for Wales possibly the reason.

Couldn’t bring myself to watch it. This “autumn series” , Seems a bit contrived .
What are thoughts on the likes of Lowe , playing for Ireland? Can anyone change allegiance , even though they have no Irish blood? Say They just came here to work/play and then declare , presumably because they are not good enough to play for their native country?
The whole essence / motivation of international sport should be patriotism

The autumn series are well established. For the majority of the existence of the game they have been one of the highlights. The format is different this year for obvious reasons.

The residency rules are fair enough in my view. Players qualifying via that route have a lot more skin in the game than granny rule boyos hopping off a plane

Granny rule stretches it a bit , but the Irish diaspora connection is fair enough A new Zealander setting up his life here and playing club rugby is fair enough but getting An international place with no other connection demeans patriotism. It’s representative sport, if u haven’t got a patriotic connection what’s the Point?

Ask Brett Cockbain about his qualification to play for Wales. Someone already has.

The vast majority of players of have played soccer for Ireland under the granny rule had no notion of being Irish before the call came

Rian is also quite capable, but then he is usually the one delivering the ball in.
if murnin is fit i would throw him into the forward line and see what he can do.
just heard coldrick the ref which isnt great as i find him self serving.
tbh though Hurson would have been a good shout for this game as he is fair and lets things flow.

Self serving? Explain that one?

A good ref. If we have spent the 2 week break learning how to tackle we will be grand
Doesn’t want to explain his decisions , waves players away etc
Watched Hutson  and indeed falcon a few times as an example
Even when Both giving black cards took time to explain why and called the players by their name etc

Just the 2 problems with that critique of Coldrick.

Firstly it isn’t true. He is probably the best at talking to players. There will of course be players who get into a state where they can’t be talked to.

Secondly even if were true it makes no sense. How would it make him self serving? It’s a very odd criticism

You didn't ask any question worthy of reply - but we have established your sneering contempt for the working class and students

Ordinary people and education are two things right-wingers generally despise, so your views are not at all surprising

Your idea of the working class includes rich brats paying for their crystal meth from their daddies' trust funds. And smelly "students" who wouldn't know a working class person if they bit them on the ass.

Education? LMAO.

I actually follow some socialists and marxists on Twitter....you know, the types who firebomb police cruisers and spit it cops faces

Anyway there’s  one girl who’s father is a doctor in Boston and she grew up in a $2-3M house in Brookline, MA

She was a theater major, so I’m sure she’s earning <$50K per year. I wonder if her “Brooklyn lifestyle” is being heavily subsidized by mammy and daddy
The plural of anecdote is not data.
The bottom 90% of Americans own 7% of the wealth. That's why socialism is making a comeback,

Agree with that. The socialism that America will get wouldn’t pass as socialism elsewhere but baby steps forward would be better than swings between left and right.

While I’m here Seafoid, did you ever find out what war Kier Starmer was in favour off?

Is there any truth that the Trumps booked a garden centre instead of the Four Seasons hotel in Philly for a press conference?

Haha

That’s not exactly what happened but it’s close enough

Trumps people picked a place near the count center, but away from the Biden supporters  to hold the press conference-and that place was in fact the Garden Center

Trump must have misheard and tweeted out that they were holding it at the hotel, then deleted the tweet a few minutes later

One side of the garden center was a sex shop, and the other was a crematorium

So why did they pick that particular location? Has a real strong whiff of incompetence by team Trump

Whitey

I would like to see
- a clear Nationwide definition of who is allowed to vote
- a clear nationwide rule on when, if ever the right to vote can be removed
- a clear nationwide rule on when, if ever the right to vote can be restored.
- a clear nationwide rule on how elections are run to include full use of modern technology
- an all party discussion on where appetitive lies for Court reform i.e. what age a judge retires at, when a judge can or cannot be appointed.
- clear nationwide standards of policing
- gun law reform.
- living wages
- candidate’s interests Disclosures
- candidate’s tax disclosures
- possibly health disclosures
- rules on candidate debates and interviews
- And the biggie - healthcare funding
