A comment on the ref, it is not often you hear praise for a ref but I have to say that McQuillan handled the game very well and got all the big calls correct. He was helped as well by 2 teams more or less trying to play the game better than the precious week. The 2 sendings off for Cross were correct and borne completely out of frustration at the situation and we can have no complaints. I was too far away from the Kilcoo on to comment on it. The penalty was clear-cut.

The ref was poor - he gave everything to Cross, and I mean everything. I was completely neutral, but was happy when Kilcoo won because of it
did anybody else notice that the ref played just one minute of injury time at the end of normal time, there was at least 5 Min's that could have been played when you add in the stephen kernan injury with everything else, with crossmaglens tails up, injury time would have made a big difference,

hope crossmaglen can do this tomorrow, some people wonder how cross can find hunger year after year,,playing kilcool has to be a motivation on its own right, come on the rangers do armagh football proud

I would agree, i thought the ref kept Cross in the game with easy frees!!
wrong! any player out there today earned a free!

So is Paul Grimley as tactically poor as that performance suggests?  All of the talk over the years suggested that he was the force behind the Monaghan resurgence under McEneaney, he was the tactical driving force behind Joe Kernan during the early 00's .... something that appears to have little foundation after that debacle today.

oisin won more games for armagh and crossmaglen than we dare to remember, nerves of steel and a lethal finisher.

st brigid's got the rub of the green today, along with some soft frees , but cross were not punished by them, it was the 2 sloppy goals that st brigid's got that changed the game.   good luck in the final st brigids

Cross have beaten better teams this year and beaten them well. Kilcoo will need a slice of luck and a Joe McQullian type ref to win, you never know. Chelsea or Celtic vs Barca springs to mind.
by saying a joe mcqullian type of ref to win, do you mean a ref that will be one sided , soft frees, penalties, red carding a cross man etc while turning a blind eye to the underdogs, ie ( them boys are all ireland champions sure they will be all right )....The refs job is to be fair to both teams regardless of their histories . The last thing we want to see is our game ending up like the boxing or some of the racing sports.

Not in the least jealous, just think that the same laws should apply to Cross as all other clubs and that you shouldnt be alowed to bully your way to success
yeah they bully-ed there way to 6 all irelands and is it 9 ulsters and 40 county titles ::) ::)

grimley never has never done any lasting good in any of the county's he has been with, sure he was with armagh in 02, but he fell out with Joe kernan for taking his son stephen kernan into the squad. which caused unrest. The cold truth is that since 08 armagh have been on the slip. facts don't lie

A great game of football and a great advert for club football. I thought the ref probably should have awarded Cross a couple of frees at the end  but otherwise added to the occasion by letting the game flow. On the negative side, a shocking piece of play acting by the Cross player to try and get the GC player sent off. The GC player was crazy though and a different ref might have bought it.
you cant defend what the gc player done, should have seen red, there was thousands of kids watching ffs, I'm sure the ref is embarrassed today at his display in that final
