Quote from: No1 on October 10, 2025, 09:33:44 AMAny of you lads tried MyWhoosh app for indoor training?  I'm assuming it's not as good as Zwift?  The free version is grand for me, just wondered if if Zwift was worth paying for?!

Switched to Rouvy as Zwift was getting expensive for 2 accounts. Workouts arent as good as zwift but visuals are less cartoon like. Not that its getting much use at the moment.

Quote from: gallsman on July 24, 2025, 10:28:42 PMTomorrow's stage cut short by 30km and with a climb cut out of it due to...the unforeseen emergency cull of cattle to contain an outbreak of something or other.

Stage cut to only 93km or so. This could result in serious fireworks from the gun. Hope so. Onley needs 23 seconds to get into 3rd and the young riders jersey.

Great effort by Healy yesterday. Incredible that Paret-Peintre is only 52kgs so if ever a man was built for Ventoux its him. On overall some rumours POG not feeling 100% some flu symptoms. MVDP quit with pneumonia. POG probably just doing enough, stay with JV and its job done. Sounds easy!
Today looks like a stage for sprinters but the intermediate sprint comes before a 600mtr ascent at 6.6% which could split things depending on how they race it. Milan will want that intermediate sprint and then if there are points for the climb Martinez needs those. There are some strong breakaway type riders that will be chomping at the bit (Magnus Cort Nielsen, Kasper Asgreen, Mohoric) So won't be a surprise to see some of them get up the road and try and outfox the sprinters.

Quote from: bennydorano on July 17, 2025, 09:25:39 AMWith Visma trying the old 1-2(3) regularly on Pogacar, I'm wondering why he's bothering following, no way Kuss or Jorgennson are winning or going to be allowed to win by VLB anyway - just follow Vingegaard. Time for Pogacar to call their bluff or blow them away

Quite true. If it was a case of getting one of them up the road to act as a bridge then it hasn't worked. All they would need to do in that case was get another UAE rider to mark that down. Kuss might try and get up the road today for exactly this reason but as you say mark Jonas as it's up to him to gain time back. Then hit him.

Stage start and finish in Toulouse today. The online route analysis is suggesting a bunch gallop but there are a series of climbs, last one is an 800mtr ramp and nearly 13% with 6km to go. I cannot see how that isn't going to explode the group with sprinters falling away.

He can but is burning a lot of matches. I guess his priority today is get in yellow, stage win would be a bonus. He is such a scrapper.

Quote from: bennydorano on July 10, 2025, 10:21:32 AMI'd agree on going to deep, would expect him to recover to compete with Pog ok. Watching something recently that said Vingegaard had added more muscle over the winter and is heavier than recent years, so that Power 2 Weight ratio could be interesting in the high mountains.

When Jonas looked around on that final ramp and lost maybe 4 bike lengths, was weird the way he rallied. Normally that look around and the gap = game over.

Vingegaard i think went pretty deep on Tuesday maybe blunted the speed a bit for the TT. But that minute or so lost in the TT can be wiped out in a few K if Pog gets it wrong in the mountains. Plus there is always the stupid crash risk. Wouldn't say its over at all.
Today maybe the breakaway will get its chance. UAE might be happy to ship the jerseys. Lenny Martinez i think will try and mop up some KOM points. Ben Healy, Simmons, Powless, Mohoric maybe try and get up the road.
That said 14% kick to the finish POG could be fancying it.
Mur De Bretagne tomorrow cannot look past another POG Van Der Poel shoot out.
It's good racing so far, some of the lumpy "flat" stages must be to the annoyance of the sprinters but i'd say fans prefer it.

Quote from: bennydorano on June 30, 2025, 04:56:23 PMBalls lads. Armagh are still as good as what is about. It doesn't need over analysing.

The most important person to stay on is McGeeney, if he goes I'd fear for us, other than that we'll not be too far away.

Lots of people revelling in Armagh's defeat yesterday are the same bucks talking them up all year, the new phenomenon of slot filling podcasts. Some Armagh fans (online) are insufferable tho and we all now have to pay for those clowns unfortunately.

Exactly that. We will be fine. Was a bad day at the office. Learn and move on.

Is there any element of provincial match ups in semis anymore?
