Hood beat Noppert in another brilliant matchup there. Sudden death leg again.

Funnily enough the only poster I saw mention this was from Armagh.

Quote from: Champion The Wonder Horse on December 18, 2025, 03:25:48 PMHaven't had time to give this its full merit but I'd have:

Lockhart, McCloy, McCluskey, Glass, F Doherty, M Lynch, McGuigan, Paddy Bradley and Muldoon as certs.

Very strong arguments for McCaigue, McFlynn, Rogers and Tohill.

Decent shouts for McKinless, SL McGoldrick, CD, Niall McCusker, G O'Kane and Skinner

Clearly a dearth of good keepers, big Damien hasn't been bettered.
A clear #4 at midfield for me after Glass, Rogers and Tohill but sure thats what opinions are for.

Team isn't bad. I'd have to find room for McCluskey and Glass. Probably Skinner too.

1. Lee Keegan
2. Jack McCaffrey
3. Tomás O'Sé

All brilliant players of course and not easy choosing.

Which sideline do you think will be happier so far? That's a serious breeze.

How many clubs are there in Derry total firlding football teams?
37

Would caveat that by saying one club have conceded championship games in recent seasons and will be doing well not to fold.

All Derry home football league games are down for Celtic Park.
McKenna cup game at home to Antrim down for Owenbeg.

You could easily argue that other counties put 1/3 of their teams in each championship at best. Whereas we persist with almost half our clubs in senior football for no good reason. I actually believe this is to the detriment of our club football as a whole.

I don't believe Glenullin opted for Intermediate either, they simply failed to make it past the championship quarter final in the previous season and the semi finalists were promoted to senior.

Quote from: Wildweasel74 on December 07, 2025, 03:13:20 PMDerry winning Ulster club bck to bck at Intermediate, does that not show the original proposed realignment to a top 12/14 league/championship been correct.?
Yeah, it should be 12, 12 and 13. Would help drive standards of all clubs.

Well done to Glenullin.

Neil McNicholl had a rolls royce of a first half after a slow start for Glenullin with some brilliant points from play.

Their running power saw them through and being able to bring on Skinner who kicked a goal and a few points is some bonus.

Quote from: Derry Man on December 01, 2025, 01:58:29 PMI take it we will be using Owenbeg for home games this year if Derry City are using Celtic Park. I'm sure another nice bitta change for the county board
Don't think work at Brandywell starts until end of April so wouldn't impact league games anyway. Don't think anything was confirmed either with Sligo Rovers ground being another possible option?

The refereeing of the tackle has been inconsistent to say the least
