Rumours doing the rounds the past few weeks that Shane Walsh is heading to the Ballina Stephenites.  Sure he might as well change county too ;D

I know of a couple of top underage players from down south that are interested in going to UU.  Is there anyone in the know about who they should approach?  I believe the University has gone away from interviews and the personal statement isn't as important. If anyone can help then I'd greatly appreciate it.

R.I.P. Farrandeelin.  Passed away today, only a young man with a very young family.  He would have been on here posting this evening had things been different. A gentleman and great servant of Knockmore GAA here in his beloved Co. Mayo.

I'd expect Sligo to win it out.  A bit like Offaly and their under 20's, they have put a very strong team together.  Would have won the Connacht Final by a lot more if it had been a decent day.

Would have to be fellow clubman Padraig 'The Bomber' Brogan, some of his performances for the club were just unreal.  At county level, I would say, Dermot Early and also the most stylish of them all, the great, Matt Connor.

How many chances are some of these Mayo players going to get?  3 of those forwards that started and were substituted during the course of the game today have been given 3 or 4 games each to prove themselves over the course of this league.  Bar a 3 minute cameo by one of them at the end of the Donegal game, all 3 have been poor.  They aren't even close to the standard unfortunately.  Not sure what Horan is looking at, if he's looking at anything at all.  I fully expect him to play all 3 again in Galway and again all 3 will be substituted.

Mayo / Re: Mayo Club Football.

A bit of a stretch to say it's a neutral venue to play Castlebar Mitchell's in McHale Park, Castlebar.  They have even more influence than the Dubs do in Croke Park.  Every cent from the match programmes sold in McHale Park, even at county games goes to the Mitchell's.  Every cup of tea or bar of chocolate sold all year in the ground goes to the Mitchell's.   Every car park that charges you money around the ground goes to the Mitchell's.  While other clubs are really struggling financially, Mayo GAA have created their own version of Dublin on the club scene.  It's beyond a joke.

I'm involved with our local club that play in D1 of the Under 14 ladies league here in Mayo.  Unfortunately we just missed out on qualifying for Feile this year so was wondering if there was any club out there that are hosting an under 14 blitz as we would love to take part.

Would be nice to bring the ladies on a bit of a trip to reward them for the effort that they are putting in.  Willing to travel anywhere in the country😁😁😁
