The official rule is that the top two play-off....winner is 'A' champion and loser is 'B' champion.
It will get a bit more complicated if Bredagh draw with Cwellan as they will be level on points with Bford in 2nd place. Not sure what happens then, score difference? play-off for 2nd? dunno...will get it confirmed by the ED secretary

Great win for Bredagh U20's away to Downpatrick this afternoon. Good match with plenty of impressive play from both teams. Bredagh 3 points down with 4 minutes left, hit 1-02 to win by 2.

GAA Discussion / Re: Corcaigh v Dún na nGall

Ah well, it was good while it lasted anyway, we haven't had a run like that for a while.
Cork were very impressive; fitter, stronger, very accurate and showed good teamwork. I'm looking forward to their SF v Tyrone.
I think Donegal's weaknesses were well exposed today - the huge gap between HB/MF and FF lines was too much at Croker and JJ left it too late to make changes. Bigger stronger players were required for this game and Griffen and Walsh should have been on after 10 minutes. The marking was atrocious and Donegal looked a bit tired in this department, leaving Cork acres of space to do what they wanted basically. I was watching Ryan McMenamin being marked in 2nd game, the HF for Kildare was playing like a full-back, sticking to McMenamin like glue and it was very effective.
Nevertheless, some positives should be taken from the good Donegal performances.....Murphy is probably the best ff in the country and you would imagine he can only get better considering he's only 19. Dunnion, Lacey and Cassidy, as well as other players, showed a lot of heart and pride and this is badly needed in Donegal. Although, I worry a bit about McGees comments in relation to Bonner and Gallagher. JJ and his advisors need to trawl the county over the next few months and pick out some big midfielders that could be county material. Whilst Cassidy and Boyle are great players, I'm not sure they are suited to midfield. Options other than the 2 man forward set-up need to be developed.
I've a good feeling about Donegal for next year and, as far as this year is concerned........................my money is on Cork to lift Sam.

Donegal all the way after seeing that Limerick performance tonight. Cork will be slow to get settled after their long break and Donegal will punish them when Murphy and McFadden get all that space in Croker and start kicking over points for fun.

Often thought it would be great to see man utd play gaelic football against Dublin in Croke Park. Although, wouldn't be as good now that Ronaldo is gone......he would do some rolling around the ground, in fact, he'd probably start crying!

Bring it on...........just the draw I wanted. Cork will be slow starting due to their lack of competitive games and Donegal should hit them quick with a few scores from their in-form forwards. Dont think Cork would have been thinking about playing Donegal in their long build up to the Q-F's and will struggle to get settled.

Anyone know where and when the game is on?

Donegal Abu!

Watched the game in Michael Collins bar in Barcelona and delighted to see Donegal having some success and giving us Donegal supporters something to cheer about. Great to see the team playing to their potential and with great heart and committment both in the Galway and Derry games.

Michael Murphy has been a great target man and very impressive up front, along with Colm McFadden. Defensively they have been very strong with Dunnion and Lacey particularly outstanding. Also, Conal Dunne has shown great talent.

I worry a bit that the more croke park savy teams will have a plan in place to deal with Murphy and McFadden. They really need half-forwards running through to get the ball from MM and CMF as there will be limited space to turn and find space playing the likes of Tyrone.

Anyway, we'll leave that to JJ Doherty to work out, he's made some good calls recently!

Comiserations to Galway and bring on the AI Q-F's
