good point from 6th sam - until Down get another 2 or 3 senior clubs they're going nowhere fast - hopefully the likes of Bredagh can compete with the Ards teams in the future but it's at least 5/6 years away at the minute

Sounds like a great night and Geraghty is a 1st class addition - hopefully Jerome has a few video clips for Graham to assess....only thing that's missing is a high profile hurler - is Sean Og available?

Sean Collins was a classy hurley, there was a great style to his play and he always seemed to have time on the ball but as regards Antrim's best my vote must go to Cloot, a great all rounder and what a goal against Offaly in the 89 final, I've never seen better before or since - coming across his man, jumping high, catching and hitting the ball to the net before his feet touched the ground - different class!

Having watched Down a number of times this year, I reckon Danny Hughes could still play for Down and he's 45! - you couldn't say that about the other names in the field
