When I was wee I used to eat sugar sandwiches, or peas in a cup  (A cup of mushy peas with butter and vinegar over them).

Yes sugar sandwiches, i used to eat these all the time. Used to take them to primary school as I wouldnt take anything else.

Get in the f**king queue, you don't need your name change, mine is needed for fear of my life.

Anyone on here who knows the Real Nail will testify to this.

John Denver, great suggestion!

I suggest go with Mr Thompson if you need to change your name.  Your situation reminds me of the time the Simpsons had to relocate as they where in danger from Sideshow Bob.  Lets try this ONL:

General discussion / Re: Charity buckets

Is it wrong that I lied one time about my age to get out of giving money to charity?  I got a knock on the door and was well caught off guard.  These 2 people starting telling me about this scheme for some charity (cant remember which one) and I was standing there as you do, feeling uncomfortable and wondering why the hell I opened the door as they where explaining the In's and outs of this charity.  Anyway, it turned out that you had to set up a monthly debit with them and then my luck changed when they said you had to be 25 years of age to sign up.  Well I'm over 25 but could pass for an under 25 so I told them, no i am only 23 to which i got a look of disgust I think because they had stood there explaining and it turned out i wasn't even the right age for the policy!!

I hate guilt trips and I can rarely say no to things like this so I was glad when there was a stipulation to participating!!

I think he was always facing an uphill battle in the US.  Soccer was never going to take off they way they hoped and there was serious pressure on him to be the catalyst in this.

Agree with Iceman, the yanks will never take to soccer, they cannot take to a sport where you cant have cheerleaders dancing at every stoppage  ::)

Wasnt it rumoured that Ciaran McGeeney made the Kildare footballers wear boxing gloves at the end of training sessions in his first year in charge and fight each other?

Hello there, my 1st thread, hope to reach 2 pages on this   :D

I have just started going to a gym to try and strengthen up a bit and get fitter obviously, however i have just realised that I dislike lifting weights, mainly because i find it boring and also because I'm usually beside some fecker who is the size of Vin Diesel lifting about 20 times the weight I would be capable of!  Does anyone have a program or suggest exercises to strengthen you arms and core area without having to lift big weights?

Thanks in advance

Is crashes more common or are they just getting more coverage now?

Starting to think that myself, there seems to be a plane crashing every other week now.

Would this be (In relevance), a bigger feat than the footballers winning the first Sam?

No because the majority of tyrone people wont give a shite about the hurling and that is fact.

Yes, this is a great initiative.

Makes a change from seeing Rangers and OWC taps pushing shopping trollies down the road piled high with wooden pallets. Generous of the local companies to donate the pallets during the global financial crisis.

I know, i be disgusted at this as well Orior.  The blue wooden pallets, known as CHEP pallets, can be exchanged for money down near Ballyclare, cant remember the name of the place though.  Instead, in recessionary times, some companies would rather give them to the loyalists to burn  ???

If I where a Killeeshil man id be a little worried and I think they could be looking over their shoulders very soon.  They are only about mid-table and are by no means out of trouble and with the players they are missing who have went to the USA, I cant see them picking up to many more points.  From what ive seen of the teams in Division 2, none of them are too easy beat and Killeeshil could soon see themselves tumbling very quickly down the table.  Dare I say it, the 2 'K's' for the drop, Killyman and Killeeshil  :o
