Evening all, was just wondering if anyone had bets on top goalscorer for the tournament.  I had Gomez but Paddy Power are only paying 1/6 of the odds as it was a tie, is this right?!  Are all firms doing this?!

Hi all Happy New Year, I'm looking for some help and advice re Berlin.  Might be organising a stag there for the start of June, has anyone been here for one before?  If so what did you reckon?  Is it any good for drinking / clubs / looking at women  :'(?  There'll be between 15-20 of us, we'll be looking to go on the rip the whole time so don't require any info on cultural activites  :)

Other destinations mentioned were Prague and Amsterdam - how would Berlin relate to these?

Any help greatly appreciated!!!

Cheers for the tips lads!  I was in Warsaw not so long ago and thought it was a right dunghole but have heard Krakow is supposed to be much better.  Germany seems to be getting very poplular lately

Honestly can not believe this!  He was just on Football Focus yesterday and looked so relaxed and like himself!  Seemed one of the genuine nice guys in football.  His poor family, can't believe it - RIP

QuoteWhat OS is it running? Had a similar problem with mine, after making/receiving a call the screen would go black and lock so that I couldn't hang up after the call. Fixed it by calibrating the proximity sensor which for me is in ZTE Blade Settings, not the generic Settings. If that doesn't work a quick google might throw something up.

How would someone simple like me find that out?!  Not much good with this technology craic!!  That's exactly what's happening with mine, O2 are sending me out a new handset today anyways as it's less than 28 days old.  I'm still within my 14 days cooling off period so not sure whether to keep it or not if there's going to be probs with it!!  Have you had much bother with yours or how would you rate it?

I've just got a new Sony Ericsson Arc S, having to return it as every other call I make / receive causes it to freeze and shut down, anyone else have this problem?

Also as this is my first Android phone (not a great intro as it's knackered within 3 days!!) what are the best free apps that people have found?  Cheers in advance!!

Cheers Laoislad, had read reviews saying the Arc is mush better than the X10 but have no experience of earlier.  Going to go down to the phones 4 u shop and have a play around on it first.  Not keen on getting tied into a 24 month contract on any phone that I don't like.  Tempted to hold out for the iphone5 and then get a better deal on the iphone 4 (don't think I'll be able to afford the 5 when it comes out!!).

So it's pats on the back for all who pay their taxes??

Plenty of Irish busniessmen are not registered in Ireland to get out of paying taxes to the state so I think paying 1 billion in taxes isn't to bad.

No but when you get involved in dodgy dealings to make yet more money than you could ever need or spend then that's going down the greed path...

Have you any evidence to back that up or can I mark that down as two stupid comments in a row?

It's just amazing what greed does to people. Started the business from scratch but not happy with being a multi millionaire.

That's a pretty stupid comment to be honest, is every person who wants to expand their business and better themselves greedy??  ::)  If being greedy provides thousands of jobs to the local area he is from and involves paying a considerable amount of tax to the government maybe it's not a bad afflication

Can BBC iplayer be watched outside of the United Kingdom?

No it won't let you, your best bet is 'surf the channel' it generally has every programme on it which you can then download and watch
