i see Michael Quinn from Longford got his start in the 2nd week of the season. something that not even he himself thought would happen till the later end of the season. By all accounts he did alright.

He did better than alright. Even a bit of talk of him getting a rising star nomination for his performance against Freo. Still fairly slight and a bit raw, but he'll be a great player for the future without a doubt. 5 months in the country and already has gotten his start. Pretty impressive!

No chance of KK being stopped this year or anytime in the near future as far as I can see. They have too much strength and depth all over the park and the young fellas comin through should mean we're about to see a dynasty of Hurling the likes of which has never been seen before.
Fair play to them too.
As for all the bullsh*t about the Cork team...They'll need to seriously rebuild and here's hoping they do because love em or hate em, its a hell of a lot poorer competition without them firing.

Pure 'East Cork' look about Abramhovich alright.  ;D

Any thoughts on who might get the gig? Seems like a poisoned chalice to me and I'd say you'd have to be a brave man to throw your hat in given all the recent carry on.

They wouldn't understand Munster? Its not rocket science. Play at 80% capacity against any of the counties in Munster and win handy. Whats not to understand?
I agree that its not beneficial to anyone to have a lopsided Leinster championship but Im not sure what the best solution is. KK wont always be this dominant though. Sport is about cycles and eventually someone will come from the pack and we'll be waxing lyrical about how unstoppable they are. No need for sweeping changes just yet id say.

Great to feel the finals atmosphere in the air. It was certainly lacking last night. Travis Cloke is a total spectator. Pies need to get on their bike in the next 10 mins or the saints might kick away. Hope it stays close and a barnstorming finish follows. Medhurst is an awful gobshite!

I wouldn't write off the pies assuming they get past the saints. They have the stuff to beat the Hawks alright. They will have to fire up on the day but they definitely have it in them.
As a cats fan though I cant wait for the bulldogs game next week. Expect another massacre :)
Gaz Ablett vs Jim Bartell in the Brownlow should be interesting.

I may have started a love/hate fest there by accident but that certainly wasn't my intention lads. Just trying to disown Reillers insanity more than anything else really. While we're at it though I think Offaly, KK, Galway, Meath etc etc are all great!! Heck Ill even throw Kerry in there for shits n giggles :) Still hope the Northerners give em the slip. Its nice to be nice but rivalries are rivalries. Would be a boring auld world without them.

"its the typical begrudging shite that emanates from Cork reillers"

I have to take issue with this one. I am also from Cork and I am as bewildered by the lack of understanding and objectivity shown in some of Reillers posts as anyone else. Kilkenny are awesome! They will surely go on to break records and create a dynasty that will be hard to match. That is the feeling among 99% of rebel fans including the die hards. Obviously every county has gobshites but this is the exception and certainly ot the rule. In general the rebel supporters have been gracious in accepting that this kk team is a notch above the rest of us. No flukes/no excuses and certainly no begrudgery here.
