Aye in fairness to Francie he did do well this year..too well against ourselves!

From a Fermanagh point of view, Ryan McCluskey had a great year at Centre Half Back, but probably needed a couple more games to be considered for an all star. O'Mahony should claim that one alrite!

Can't see where ya are gettin Tommy Freeman from to be honest.

Great footballer but not this year. Clarke is Ulsters top forward this year by a country mile.

The juvenile crowing, taunting and goading that goes on here when a team gets beaten is very annoying. You'd hope GAA people would be better, but you can't legislate for it.
Totally agree with ya hardy..but it is something that is going to happen. As i watched my fermanagh team get defeated in clones in the ulster final while armagh fans sang 'wide wide wide delilah' with every kick of the ball as well as 'wheres ure famous barry owens??' which i thought was particularly low due to the poor lads injury, they hav to b able to put up with what will come back at them..but it wont be coming from me.

In relation to the expected fermanagh crowd travvelin down to hq for this match, i would be surprised if we brought more than 7000 to be honest! very surprised! there has been a big call for supporters to travel but this is the fifth championship game of the season for us and the pockets are very light at this stage! hope im wrong!

what wil kerry bring? 4000 at most? but i expect monaghan to travel in big numbers! ill take a stab at an attendance of around 47000. its hard one to call tho!

i know the focal point and confusion that mcbarron creates or is supposed to create but its just not working! i feel a small nippy full forward with nice direct balls in could cause more trouble for the kildare backs.

havent seen anything of kildare yet this year, have they any outstanding defenders that will try and hook themselves onto maguire?
still fancy our midfield against anyone so lets hope marty and womble are back to their best by sunday!

From a fermanagh point of view I feel that the team could do with a bit of freshening up for Sunday, any thoughts?
Pat Cadden was the top scorer in the league and hits frees for St.Pats so surely he deserves a chance. Also I think Mattie Keenan deserves another go at it because although the frees didnt go well for him I thought he involved himself in play quite well and has the ability to take people on. This is how I would line them out;

1. Chrissy Breen            (Always have rated him higher than Gallagher..he just doesnt concede goals!)
2. Shane Goan
3. A.N. Other               (McDermott gave Clarke acres of room last day. Shane Lyons possibly, but its a problem position!)
4. Peter Sherry
5. Damien Kelly
6. Clucker
7. Tommy Mc
8. Marty
9. Womble
10. Ciaran McElroy
11. Tom Brew               (Need a bit of experience up in the forwards, hes been there and done it)
12. Mark Little               (Maybe wouldnt drop him back as much..see if Kildare can put up with him going forward)
13. Pat Cadden             (Why not? Deserves a chance after a good league campaign)
14. Eamon Maguire        (Not a towering full forward but can jump with the best of them and wud giv any full bak an awful handful)
15. Mattie Keenan

Would like to see what other people are thinking.

I think McElroy was injured taking a shot towards the end and was down for a good wile getting treatment. I presume that caused O'Rourke to take him off.

Correct!

I left Clones with no doubt in my mind that Ciaran McElroy was man of the match, although watching back on tv I must say my opinion changed, but he must have done something right!

Indeed there was, and I still believe we edged midfield encounters in this sector! At the end of the day, everyone see's the game differently. I left Clones with no doubt in my mind that Ciaran McElroy was the man of the match, but only to watch it back and to be reconsidering my choice. Anyone from McDonnell, McGrath, Clucker, Toner could have walked away with it!

Sure what do I know?? Sunday will answer all our questions and more!

McGrath, who had shaped the course of the Monaghan and Derry games produced very little. McGrane fetched more ball and drove forward more. In the final 20 minutes McGrath never caught a ball but kicked one point – off the back of McGrane having to leave him to tackle an attacking half back. Mostly these two broke even, with McGrane probably shading it. Inevitably the ball will break off the pair of them and its up to the rest to compete then.

Not a mission McGrane shaded this! I have the utmost respect for McGrane as he has been consistently the best midfielder in Ulster for the last, god knows how many years, but McGrath along with Clucker took the game by the scruff of the neck last Sunday!
