really disappointed i wasn't up in time to read the original response

quite computer literate kids nowadays eh?

My original post ended .... as you have no idea of my technical ability or what I do for a living!!  Issues with that?

Edit, the last edit was 7.17am - so you must think you are achieving something by changing it to 2.17am.  ::)

I don't think its the people who fail to go to the doctor due to work commitments that are causing the problems in the health service.

More so the hypochondriacs and those illness ( real or not )based benefits that are filling waiting rooms. Unfortunately the health of an individual does not  always fit into the 8am-6pm  schedule. Its a pity that these working schedules are not afforded to nurses, for i know for damn sure they could do with reduced hours and more pay !

One hell of a valid point.

There are only three possible outcomes to this job, bert and ernie:

1. You don't do it.
2. You make a complete mess of it and walk away, leaving one more half-arsed, unneeded, unmaintained website floating around on cyberspace until your host pulls it.
3. You make a complete mess of it, but over the course of a couple of years and a couple of rebuilds, you work out how to do things right and make something worthwhile.

The third one is the outshot, by the way.

Thanks for the vote of confidence.

one point- if you're that computer literate, why would you need to ask this? Are you that you really want to take this on?

There are many diverse professions within the I.T industry, I can't see Web Design being that challenging to me, I just have never done it.

ok, didn't realise you were going to do this from the office, thought this was a job you would be doing from home! sorry mate!  :-[

I would be doing from home, just thought I'd see what that site was - no worries, can always blame something like that on a doggie email if anyone mentions it.
And why would you be receiving such emails?

Spam!

Edit I see my mistake!  :P

I am quite computer literate and have been asked by a friend to build a website for their local GAA Club.  They have their domain name, what is the best package to use, any pointers from others who have undertaken a simliar venture?

Whats the point?

Of going off something for lent?  I see it as a way of trying to kick bad habits, doubt most people do it for religious reasons.

For the first time I am giving up the drink, with a side issue of giving up the smokes, as I have got to the stage I only smoke when drinking, so basically it is a health drive rather than any religious urge to abstain, but it's a good time to try.  Anyone else attempting anything?

QuoteFair play to Cross for giving the green light on Tony and Stephen.

No doubt that Cross only did it because they felt it would be in their own interests. Worked well for Armagh though.

Was thinking that, were the two Kernans not carrying injuries, it was probably to give them a good competitive outing, as you say though worked well for Armagh.

You must get sick of the same posters continually reporting minor breeches of the new rules and attempting to get fellow posters banned. It's getting like primary school where the teacher's pet in the front row is continually going "Miss, Miss look at him-  he's picking his nose!"  "Miss, Miss look at him - he's copying me!"

How do you know this is happening or is it just you speculating?

You thought on another thread that ziggy reported someone for saying "hell" when he was talking about the duplicate topic.
The mods have consistently asked and suggested that any posts that are in breach of the rules are reported as they can't look at them all.

I reported the duplicate threads last night and sky blue's vile comments - have you some problem with this?

With the derogatory, abusive and vulgar statements you constantly make on this board, about various groups of people and individuals; I think your disgust at Sky Blues comment, although warranted, is however somewhat laughable.

It's amazing how weather forcasters can get it so wrong; if you got it so wrong in any other job, you'd more and likely get the road.
