Great film, I've actually seen it twice now which makes a big difference seeing it is over 150mins long. Strange thing about it iss that it's a Batman movie, but everyone went to see the joker, and the point of the film ends up being about Harvey Dent/Two Face. They squeezed alot into it.

Ledger is great as the Joker, theres not really much debate about that and he will definitely get an oscar nomination and who knows he will probably win it seeing how sentimental the judges have been before. I can't see anybody else take up the role for a very long time if ever.

Bale is a terrible batman though. His voice like some sort of Clint Eastwood Dirty Harry thing gets annoying and just sounds stupid. Not a bad Bruce Wayne in saying that. For me Michael Keaton has been by far the best batman.

I heard a couple of points mentioned in one review which i realised are exactly right - Gary Oldman gives the best performance as Gordon, and there was on too many "moral dilemma". Reminded me of Jigsaw in the Saw films.

Despite those minor criticism's i had of it, its easily the best comic book film ever made and the best film ive seen in the cinema for a long long time. Great to see the Nolan's do justice to the comics. Anyone else notice its number 1 on IMDB ousting the Godfather from top spot!? For me its 8/10.

I can really see Derry struggling on saturday against fermanagh. Without Doherty, we look like an unbalanced team and the whole rhythm of our play is upset. Diver and Conway will no doubt provide us with strong forward support, but we could be caught out by the fermanagh runners through the middle.

In saying that, i feel that Derry still should have enough to progress, but Fermanagh on the handicap of +3 at 10/11 looks a good bet. This one will be close.

Only one real cure, and thats the hair of the dog. If you don't go on the rip again you'll suffer even a bit no matter what miracle cure you try! As for day 3 or 4, if only there was an answer...

Can't really look far past The Godfather, its on most peoples top 10 film lists for a reason. Every time you watch it, it gets better.

Downloaded it in and watched it in great HD quality. An absolutely awesome film, its hard to take it all in first time. Watching it is a strange experience, you really don't have any idea where the storyline is going. And theres nothing i can say about Daniel-Day Lewis that hasn't been said already.

The reason it hasn't been showing in a lot of cinemas here is because they don't believe it is a movie which will attract viewers en masse, which is a bit ridiculous seeing as the amount of hype which has surrounded it.

For all of our languages we can't communicate
For all of our native tongues we're all natives here
Sons of their fathers' dream the same dream
The sound of forbidden words becomes a scream
Voices in anger, victims of history
Plundered and set aside, grow fat on swallowed pride

With promises of paradise and gifts of beads and knives
Missionaries and pioneers are soldiers in disguise
Saviours and Conquerers, they make us wait
Like fishers of men they wave their truth like bait
But with the touch of a stranger's hand innocence turns to shame
The spirit that dwelt within now sleeps out in the rain

For all of our languages we can't communicate,
For all of our native tongues, we're all natives here
The scars of the past are slow to disappear
The cries of the dead are always in our ears
And only the very safe can talk about wrong and right
Of those who are forced to choose, some will choose to fight

i was at the match and agree with alot of what has been said, basically derry's goals were the difference in a tight encounter. i was close to the first sending off and the laois player clearly kicked our no.12 declan mullan in retaliation to a little trip. The referee had no choice in both of the red card incidents.

I thought derry just about deserved to win the game and it should make for a good final with Galway. both semi finals have been highly entertaining. i havent seen much of galway this year, any players to look out for?

mckeever hasnt been involved all year. but i hear they are going to finally call him up to the squad for the final. they could really do with him. its a disgrace anyway that our best player hasnt played all year because of one silly drinking incident when he showed more than he should...
