Small gripe but Donegal have been at this 'we'll do our own thing' shit for ages, taking a lifetime to come out for second half, not joining the parade today for well over a minute when they were supposed to, then breaking away ridiculously early.

Psychology shite that fell on its face today.

As for the game, Jacko pulled a masterstroke playing David way out on the right wing and nearly back on the 45. Pulled Donegal defence zone far enough over to leave a load of space down the left and softer Channel up the middle. Donegal don't do well when 5 plus points behind. The monaghan game was a false flag as monaghan had a complete system crash.

Kerry best team this year, one thing rarely mentioned is their size and power. Completely overran Armagh, Tyrone and now Donegal.

Be interesting to see how the next few years pan out. Fair play to the kingdom on a great year.

Quote from: omagh_gael on July 11, 2025, 05:40:22 PMI bought 3 adult tickets and 2 kids tickets off ticketmaster. There's now another kids who wants to go. Having problems buying a single juvenile ticket. Are you allowed to buy a single juvenile ticket or does it have to be bought alongside an adult ticket?
I had no problem buying single juvenile tickets for the Armagh v Dublin game last month.

I got sorted out thankfully, everytime I went to order a single one it gave me an error message but when changing the option to an adult plus juvenile it would give me the option to buy.

Even had a Kerry man from here offer me a ticket, reaching out the hand of friendship haha. Hopefully the football is as good as the weather tomorrow. Roads will be slightly less manic compared to the QFs.

You can walk freely though all stands upper and lower. Was able to move from upper Davin to lower hogan after the doengal v monaghan game in QFs.

Irish news reporting that McKernan certain to miss the game on Sunday. Big miss as it looked like he might have played some part following Malachy's comments after the Dublin game.

Quote from: cadhlancian on July 06, 2025, 04:02:20 PMDidn't really get a good look at that incident at the end that may or may not have been a penalty - anyone get a good look at it ?

They didn't show a close up replay of the incident. Looked like it could have went either way. I'd say if it happened 10 mins earlier ref could have given it. No way he was gonna give it when it would have decided the match.

Great heart by the Tyrone lads to come back. That wind really seemed to pick up in second half and severely impacted shooting. In saying that some of the decision making wasn't great but most of those lads 16 so we can only salute the bravery, commitment and skill from both teams.

Was ego at play re Rafferty and risky kick outs? Would be hard not to buy into it.

I watched the first half of our game v Kerry in 2021 when Moran was still going strong for kingdom. Nearly every kick from Morgan went well beyond midfield. Now we lost plenty of them but Kerry got very little joy as they were too far away for a long ball into FF. We mainly went man to man in FB line as well so it wasn't as if there was a Donegal style mass retreat to flood the D.

All counties are on a level playing field when it comes to the expense.

Armagh won the AI last year and their fan base appears to be even more intense this year. Our post 21 hangover doesn't hold water.

Our underage teams are flying, you'd think there'd be momentum built there. Having been to loads of u20s games this year we tended to be outnumbered there as well.

Club football is flying in the county which is deadly, are we starting to become the Derry of the GAA when club trumps county?

Even in the media there's an almost stale approach to Tyrone. Having listened to most of leading GAA podcasts last week and this week Itd not be exaggeration to say we took up about 5% of the conversation.

Strange times.

Argument to be made that we were the least supported team in Croke Park over the weekend?

You'd imagine there should be a huge push from County board to increase the atmosphere etc within the county but very little out there.

Seems to be so flat considering we've just won an ai u20 and minors in final this Sunday.

Some excellent points here in the kickout discussion. The big winners I think are Tyrone. Malachy and Co will be flat out working out an A, B and C approach to avoid thst 14 point drubbing Armagh took through total domination of the kick out.

Rafferty is a phenomenal keeper but I can't recall him absolutely booting it to the opposition 45. Maybe he doesn't have it in his locker but we can see how effective it is. Two keepers who absolutely do have this is Morgan and Patton. We got at least 2 if not 3 scores of Dublin in the second half with deep kickout flicked on inside the Dublin 45.

If Kerry win the break then the long kick pass directly into the Kerry FF line isn't really on. Furthermore, it might encourage the press to back off a lot more to allow a safer shorter option.

Fascinating stuff and at the end of the day it might be a case of pure luck rather than any design as JoG2 mentions above.

Kerry went hard at the emotional angle against Armagh. It was genuine and authentic. Very hard to replicate that level of emotional intensity the next day out.

If we get a fast start and the Kerry shot accuracy is around 50-60% then we have a chance.

Were huge underdogs but that's the way we like it.

Any suggestions on anticipated attendance? Will it break 30k?
