Ditched my full beard of 13 years in January. Have shaved every day this year. Have dark thick hair, although recently it's a shade of white... I shave at the end of my shower, in the shower. Over the years I've tried them all. Single blades, 4 blades, 5 blades but the Mach 3 has always been the winner and I buy the multiple cartridges in Costco 20 pack for $45. Each blade lasts around 3 weeks before she gets replaced

Razor, some brand of Gillette shave foam, and a brush for lather and lifting the skin up. For me its finding the right cadence between shaves that prevents the irritation of the skin. If I'm shaving too infrequently the hair is getting a chance to dig in as it regrows so If I left it to the second day to shave I am going to have issues. So it's every day or no days.

Quote from: Hand of God on November 09, 2025, 10:10:05 PMThere are many billionaires on this planet. I would say most of them were born into wealth. Certainly when you look at high profile ones, their story is similar. Musk had millionaire parents, his father owned an emerald mine. Bezos grandfather owned 25k acres of land, his parents were able to invest 250k in their son's business 30 years ago. Bill Gates was privately educated and born into a very rich family. Zuckerbergs father owned a dental practice, he was also the recipient of private education.

You really like to perpetuate the cult of a billionaire, that they are people so much smarter and savvy than your average people. They are generally just horrible people who got a head start in life and we're ruthlessly driven in their quest to become as rich, powerful and influential as they have....that's what sets them apart.

Thth couldn't give a damn about screwing people who helped them along the way over. They don't care about shafting their workers, making them and their families homeless or scraping by as they burst their ass for them as they only care about profits.

There's many successful people who entered the world of business who were probably every bit as smart and insightful as these billionaires, only they weren't as horrible of human beings as them.

You keep going on revering these billionaires. I think that level of wealth is grotesque personally.

So as much as your conscience is on point, you are castigating a group of people based on the circumstances they are born into. Broad brush stroke, but hopefully you get an A in your politics exam in the summer.

How am I castigating them? There's just a correlation there that the majority of those who become billionaires had an advantage in life, they have financial support, connections, access to education etc that is beyond the reach of the ordinary person. That's not a castigation, that's a reality. Guys like Trilleac and Milltown clearly like trumpeting the cult of the billionaire - that these guys were just extraordinary people and that is what separates them from the rest.

They don't like you relaying the facts that their origins actually weren't so humble.

Is it unclear?

Adulthood is not all its cracked up to be at all. Take me back to 1995. 13 men in the famous (and preferred) all white strip against themmuns in Clones. Hosepipe bans. Bubbling tarmac and eatin as many soleros as you could afford in a day before shrinkflation and not a f**Kin dickie bird about gluten or seed oils or Ozempic.

Quote from: gawa316 on October 18, 2025, 09:22:21 PMTri tip sandwiches are all the go in California.

Don't know why you can't get that cut of meat around the world

You can't even get tri tip East of Boise which is surprising because done properly it's one of the best steak variations out there and will feed plenty. It's just the bottom sirloin/rump.

Cousin is a butcher back home and he will cut us a tri tip once we told him where specifically it was in Irish butcher terms.

Thread of Dreams/Nightmares as an exile to be fair. Nothing comes close to an Irish sandwich in Mam's kitchen. Soft white bread: Hellmans on one side, Colemans on the other. Fresh sliced limerick ham, bit of coleslaw.

Current American ingredient favourites

The Saturday Morning Special
Soft White Bap
HP Sauce one side, Colemans on the other
Thick cut American bacon
Slice of Cheddar

Soft White Bap or Bread
Good Quality Peanut Butter
Strawberry Jam

Could easily live on a PB&J daily.

Eamonn I've said this before - you are the radical part of the left. You are not wrong in many of the things you say and advocate for but you and those like you are not helpful to forward momentum in a positive direction considering the starting point. Massive shifts of perspective are not going to steady this sinking ship because they are not possible. Incremental gains are constantly shot back by this California massive attitude.

Christ it's depressing out here.
